I’m glad they hit on “progressives”. I have questioned “progressives” and they are kind of sketchy about their beliefs. They want to “progress”...then you question them and you find out they are anti-religion, pro-big government, pro social program, pro-taxation...anti - gun....
Then you say, “So, you’re basically a socialist?” Then they get madder than hornets and tell you that you don’t know what socialism is. Then they go on to extoll the virtues of socialism and say it hasn’t been tried correctly...
Basically, they paint themselves red and then get mad at you for noticing they are red....because you don’t UNDERSTAND red.
TR may have had some progressive (today we would call it Compassionate Conservative) ideas, but he believed in American exceptionalism.
Wilson was an arrogant, racist, utopianistic, internationalist, who had a messiah complex (sound familiar?).
His vision for one big happy unified world might have been rooted in some post-millennial views which may have come from his religious upbringing.
To put TR, one of our greatest presidents, in the same sentence with Woodrow Wilson and later liberals and Marxists is ridiculous and historically inaccurate...
Here’s hoping Toomey will beat Spectre in November.
What a great program today! No silly faces. No red telephone bits. Just eyeopening stuff for this guy who thinks he knows a bit about American History.

I often hear liberals trumpeting the superior intellect of people in Europe.
Well, I lived there. Geography doesn’t give a person superior intellect.
LS - I hope he let’s you talk more about “historicism”...I just call it “revisionist history”.

There’s that Org again — the Council on Foreign Relations.
How many politicians and ‘journalists’ of the last 20-some years have been members? I can name several, including most who have been in the presidential primaries, been their respective party’s nominee, and even been elected to the Oval Office and Congress.
So, it is a ‘progressive’ Org.
We need to see more exposure of ‘progressives’ — those in both parties.
