COPS fear that 25 British-born Muslims are plotting to bomb Western airliners.
The fanatics, in five groups, are now training at secret terror camps in Yemen.
It was there London-educated Umar Abdulmutallab, 23, prepared for his Christmas Day bid to blow up a US jet.
The British extremists in Yemen are in their early 20s and from Bradford, Luton and Leytonstone, East London.
They are due to return to the UK early in 2010 and will then await internet instructions from al-Qaeda on when to strike.
A Scotland Yard source said: "The great fear is Abdulmutallab is the first of many ready to attack planes and kill tens of thousands.

Kev,
The ride home will be the worrisome part.
Dear Leader is a world-class joke. MSM’s cover is going to cost us dearly I fear.
Great...and the impostor will enjoy seeing these attacks...he hates Americans and the British...
I would say that usurper in the WH has also been radicalized...
I don’t understand why these things are still happening. Aren’t we living in the era of Obama bin Biden - the era of H&C, when all supposed grievances the Muslims have against us, should have ended ?
But we were just assured by Nepolitano that this was NOT a part of a wider conspiracy!
So who do we believe? Our own lying eyes or Janet Nepolitano!
Nah,
A nuke floated into New York harbor
in routine water traffic
Or,
Parking car bombs in hospitals or schools
Maybe,
Floating a houseboat against a dam
packed with high explosives
scuttle it, then detonate below water
That's what I would do
If I wanted to cause maximal terror
Pretty tough to stop
Look only to Iran and Israel for proof. My prayers belong to Bibi and Israel. We're not getting the news we need and deserve.
LOL. As Miss Marple said elsewhere, we plan to put an agile, courageous Danish film maker who knows how to administer a headlock on every plane.
The part about the system working to keep explosives off the plane is so yesterday.
SNIPPET from THE SUN.co.uk link in post no. 1
"The 25 suspects, of Pakistani and Somali descent, were radicalised in UK mosques.
Some had been to university and studied engineering or computer sciences.
Others were former street gang members.
Special Branch monitored them as they flew to Yemen, in the Middle East, from British airports in the spring and summer.
In almost every case, their tickets were paid for in cash and bought less than a week before travel.
The source added: "Imams would have promised them rewards in heaven for becoming suicide bombers prepared to kill Westerners.""
I really, really miss George W. Bush. He din’t dick around with these a$$holes, like the current WH PC “human caused destruction” idiots are. By the way, why is it OK to bomb/kill people from UAV’s on Pakistan/Afghanisuan border, but water-boarding is criminal? Why is anybody buying any of this Obama Bull-$hit?
The REAL tip off on the plane should have been when he told the crew he just had stomach problems and then his pants caught on fire...he was obviously a liar...
yeah right.../s
Napalitano...send her a coke bottle
Clown alert: Janet Napolitano says the system worked
Snips: Beginning with her embrace of the impotent euphemism man-caused disasters to the hit job on conservatives and veterans that she was forced to apologize for, to her assertion that crossing the border illegally isnt a crime per se, to her boneheaded claim that 9/11 terrorists came in through the Canadian border, Ja-No has confirmed time and again that shes not ready for prime time.
we have no indication that its part of anything larger, but obviously the investigation continues. And we have instituted more screening and what we call mitigation measures at airports. So I would advise you during this heavy holiday season just to arrive a bit early, and to know that we are going to be doing different things at different airports. So dont expect to do the same thing at one airport when you transfer through to another airport.
But the traveling public this is my message for you, Candy. The traveling public is very, very safe in this air environment. And while we continue to investigate the source of this incident, I think the traveling public should be confident in what we are doing now.
If the system had worked, the U.S. consular officials who granted Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab a short-term visa last June would have revoked it immediately upon being informed by his father that he was a Muslim radical with al Qaeda ties.
If the system had worked, U.S. consular officials would have never granted Abdulmutallab a rootless, young, single male a visa in the first place in compliance with State Department visa regulation 214(b):
If the system had worked, Abdulmutallab would have been barred from the U.S. like he had been barred from Britain.
The system, like Napolitano, was an epic fail.
And as predicted, Napolitano also played the lone nut card dismissing the Christmas Day jihadist as a single operator not part of anything larger despite his own testimony to the contrary. Shes Obamas biggest joker. And theres no Blame-Bush loophole to weasel through anymore.
Nothing to see here, move along: An Al-Qaida operative in Yemen threatened the United States and said we are carrying a bomb in a video posted online four days before the botched Christmas Day attempt to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight.
Thanks much for the ping Vel. Hopefully our undercover types can circumvent ObamaMudBoy and snoop around in Yemen; route the bassturds out.
“Why is anybody buying any of this Obama Bull-$hit?”
RUSH: Mark my words, just as the truth about Tiger Woods has been exposed, so it shall be with Barack Obama.
The woman needs to be replaced. That’s obvious. The problem is that we have an administration who would find someone even less capable and concerned with the safety of Americans.
Although that would be quite a challenge.
