Most of the genome has no known function. “Junk” is in the context of “junk you keep up in the attic”, not “garbage that you throw out”. From the beginning it was suggested that it was DNA of potential use; but STILL - NO KNOWN FUNCTION.
The fossil record is in no way consistent with dinosaurs and humans living contemporaneously all within the last six or so thousand years. That is fantasy.
How would a creationist go about demonstrating that DNA is a complex digital code, when creationists do not do any actual science with DNA? Biologists demonstrated that DNA is a complex digital code. Creationists don't create science, they create scientific “critique”.
And as a necessity, they need to misrepresent, and NOW I am beginning to understand, and NOT KNOW any biology.
Thus the reluctance of the ‘forces of Creation’ here on FR to actually LEARN anything AT ALL about the subject they discuss day after day after day.
Rather pitiful.

Actually yes, they do. For example, if you want to undermine radioisotope dating (by claiming that radioactive decay rates can change enough to accommodate the '6,000' number), then nuclear physics goes out of the window. And quantum mechanics (which explains the mechanism of decay). And mathematics (which is the foundation of quantum mechanics)...
Contemporary science works differently than science 400 years ago. Back then science meant collecting largely unrelated observations. At some point the amount of accumulated knowledge reached a critical point, and in addition to gathering observations, we started rationalizing, developing interdisciplinary fields of research and translating the results into technology. Scientific observations are no longer isolated. They are interrelated, and you just can't take one piece away whenever you wish without explaining why other areas of scientific research still testify to the validity of this inconvenient piece. Contemporary science comes as a package. Unfortunately, evolutionary biology matches the rest of the package. While one can claim that atheists corrupt biology to fit their atheist agenda, can you really say the same about mathematics, physics, geology, computer science and so on, and remain rational? And this leads us back to the my initial question from #156: "Do you have any SERIOUS suggestion how we can make the world our dominion (Genesis) while locking ourselves out in the purely spiritual reality of literally interpreted Bible and prayer?"

First, most antibiotics (e.g. penicillins) are either natural compounds, or are derived from natural compounds. So the allegation of defiance is unfounded. Second, the natural forms initially worked, and then stopped. If the initial efficiency was according to God's will, restoring it by introducing the modifications to their structures was also according to God's will. Third, it is simply not true that antibiotics shorten lives. It's just that many people lost the proper perspective. If you had lived 100 years ago, the prevalence of deaths from TB, childbirth infections or simple pneumonia would have given you the proper perspective with regard to sulfonamides and penicillin.
Finally, while I can to some degree agree with your condemnation of organized religion, I also want to make the following observation: The mainstream, organized religion at least managed to deal with the mess created by Copernicus and literalists within the Church. You guys still need to define your attitude toward science and, more generally, toward observable reality.
The keyword spams are happening here to. Why is this being tolerated? Why not just tell both sides to knock off the malicious keyword spamming and be done with it?

Actually, the problem with radioisotope dating is not the rate of nuclear decay, but the fact that evolutionists make completely unsustainable assumptions about the "starting conditions" of the rocks they are testing which are in no way relevant to the actual history of the rocks, but which are needed to give them incredibly old ages.
It's a people problem, not a science problem.
So you have further moderated you position to acknowledge that ID, and with it Theistic Evolution is now legitimate?

Mostly what it shows me is that you’ve posted the most keywords and that you haven’t abused it... It also shows that people are getting tired of our faith being trashed and our beliefs ridiculed by those who respect neither God, our country’s founders or Jim Robinson enough to at the very least be civil.
There are those who think they can slander the God of Creation and the children of God and get off scott-free. I don’t need to judge them... they will repent or they will receive judgement from the One that matters.
