Dinosaur Soft Tissue Finally Makes News
ICR News ^ | December 2, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Posted on 12/02/2009 8:28:11 AM PST by GodGunsGuts

Although creation-based organizations have reported for over a decade on the technical scientific journal articles published about soft tissue found inside dinosaur remains, mainstream media outlets have largely been silent on the subject. But a recent segment that aired on CBS’s 60 Minutes finally broke the news to a broader audience. The soft tissue issue may be gaining more traction, and even “may be changing the whole dino ballgame,” according to correspondent Lesley Stahl.[1]

The program is currently viewable online at the CBS website. In a field test demonstration to determine whether a dinosaur fossil was real bone, and not bone replaced by minerals, Stahl touched her tongue to it...

Could it be somewhat like why we see snake or lizzard skins here and there, but not rabbit or gopher skins? Are reptiles and mammals the same?

Snakes shed their skins and rabbits don't. That is a difference between snakes and rabbits that explains why we see snake skins and not rabbit. What difference between reptiles and mammals explains why we find entire mammoths intact, with skin like rawhide, but no dinosaurs in a similar condition?

I think that only the science is evil crowd shares that opinion. But, to quote Rhett Butler, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." (BTW - what exactly is "slef-appointed"?)

That crowd, first of all, would be your crowd- and second of all- there’s a good many peopel fed up with you and htosel ike you cosntantly trying to manipulate FR despite the fact that Jim has repeatedly stated GGG has the right to post his articles front and center-

[[”Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”]]

Oh yes you do- otherwise you wouldn;’t have responded- per usual- you’re fooling noone

Reptiles have very fragile skins, while pachyderms have tough skins riding over a thick band of fat. Also the dinos mostly were swamp dwellers, while mammoths dwelt in mountains and plains.

If you don't like my posts don't read them. As soon as falsehoods stop being posted I will stop refuting them.

I think it’s unwise, if not silly to build a huge castle complex on vague Scriptural phrasing . . . even considering root word meanings . . .

It is far too much of a stretch to me, to consider the world 6,000 years old and I don’t believe Scripture even hints solidly that it is.

God had lots of options and has lots of options. He could have arranged what we OBSERVE any number of DIFFERENT ways.

Hyper Creationists insist it was one very narrow limited way. Idiot evolutionists think it was another very narrow limited stupid way.

GOD IS MUCH BIGGER THAN EITHER ANEMIC STORY.

It was obviously NOT an issue that God wanted us to have exhaustive information on in His Word. Doh. Acceptance of that fosters a lot of humility and peace.

Hate to bust your bubble but, scientifically, AGW is a hypothesis. An educated guess that is being rigorous tested and debated in the scientific community. Evolution of species is a theory, meaning it has been tested over and over and based on many experiments, has been shown to be predictively correct. That doesn’t mean it is to the best of our abilty, that would be a Law, correct.

A theory is not a hypothesis. Just FYI.

Evolution has failed to predict anything.

It called for gradual change which is not in evidence anywhere on Earth. Zero transitional evidence Zip, nada!

You claimed that the recent hadrosaur find was entirely fossilized; that clearly is a false statement.
