Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
My day after Thanksgiving message | 11/26/200 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/26/2009 9:55:25 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

The strategy is we win, they lose.

Any questions?

God Bless you Jim Robinson!

It still makes me sick when I see the RINO Huckabee outpolling Sarah Palin.

“Her background is LOCAL and state goverment.”

Yes, I know, but I do not agree education and infrastructure are government funcitons at any level.

She has and lives by strong principles, most important possibly her honesty and openness in everything, and a strong belief in small government. Still, I’d like to see the principles of a free market and individual liberty emphasized more.

Just curious about what constitutes "support" Jim.

For example:
As we all know, John McCain is a first degree RINO. If I'm in the voting booth and I have a choice between Barack Hussein and John McCain and I vote for McCain, is that supporting RINOs?

Great message, however, you are preaching to the choir for the most part.

I don't think so - I've mixed it up with several freepers over the past few weeks and months who somehow want to convince me that I have to support the GOP no matter what and that third parties are evil and that a liberal with an (R) next to their name is somehow better than a third party.

My view is that a liberal with an (R) next to their name is the same as a liberal with a (D) next to their name. It's socialism-lite versus socialism in that case.

I'm glad Jim made this thread, as we can now point the RINOS to it. I am sick and tired of having to listen to them try and tell me that a GOP full of liberals is preferable to anything else. We had a White House and Congress full of RINOS for six years before Obama and not only did they give us Obama and a Democratic-led Congress, they gave us the largest, most expensive, most intrusive, most powerful federal government in the history of this country. They sold us down the river.

I think we will be more successful in turning the tide if we organize around positive rather than negative principles; if we declare what principles (not candidates) we are for. Not everyone may agree on every point, or the best vehicle to achieve those ends, but rather than continually dividing the conservative movement, or launching into inquisitions, we should strive not to make enemies with those who agree with core conservative principles and who seek a return to our republic's roots.

“If elected President, my first official act would be to declare all Gum’t associated unions as illegal RICO enterprises, and put people in jail for stealing from thye taxpayers.

I might even declare ALL unions illegal... and let them fight from inside prisons! “

Pay Per View? ;-)

Yep, the RINO-led GOP is every bit as responsible for the mess we are in now as the 'Rats are.

The idea should be to win over the RINOs and pull them rightward. Yelling them down and telling them to go to hell does nothing except to advance the cause of the bad guys.

Dunno.
We get our say in the Primary (which is, unfortunately, corrupted by the Open Primary system). After the Primary, if its a RINO vs. something worse, you have to support the RINO. For instance in McCain vs. Obama, its RINO Juan McQueeg over Obama.
Too bad they can’t both lose.

Agreed. We need to make a distinction between timeless conservative principles and the partisan political choices available for any one particular vote.

When these two categories get mixed then all we get are posts in which otherwise sane FReepers scratch each others' eyes out over some failing or other of some candidate.

There are obvious RINOs, then there are RINOs that a FReeper might vote for over a lib or a leftie, then there are (rarely) conservative Dems that might be a better choice over a socialist-lite RINO, then there are elections in which no principled Conservative could vote no matter who was running.

Principles vs. partisanship should be clearly defined and separated IMO.

This is the kind of crap that threads like this engender.

The thing that makes me the most angry is that the RINO-led GOP and the RINO White House under Bush gave the Democrats the tools to lead us down the road to socialism. They made it acceptable to bail out failing companies, they pushed the PATRIOT ACT down our throats, and many more disgusting things, many in the name of "protecting" us from terrorism and ourselves. Now the Dims have control of government and they are going to continue the nanny state that Bush tried to start.
