Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
Then the only successful strategy is to try to educate the voters in those two districts to the supremecy of conservative ideology.
But having a 3/2 ad is better than a 2/3 disadv.
Must be very lonely in your world.
Tell me, is it some sort of alternate universe where Sarah Palin is "in-experienced", and "unqualified"? "Small town ex-Mayor", "not ready for prime-time", "no depth", "needs seasoning" - that sort of thing?
I've run into some of your people. We call them libtards, here.
I'd take you to my leader, but she'd probably just mount your head on her trophy wall.
He is playing your music!
Whoa. That isn't nice at all. I was never a Huck supporter, not then and not now for public office but a "threat to Christianity"? That's just sick, the man is a strong Christian, how could you possibly judge him on that?
And, he actually makes a great talk show host, that's really his calling. A bad man.....he is not.
I have a bit of a problem with people deciding who is a "good" or "not good" Christian.
I have personally busted picket lines with over 150 pickets trying to stop a concrete slab placement.
I have been an officer in a hundred year old company busting out of five trade jurisdiction contracts. But I have also served as an industry rep on union pension fund boards.
My dad had a bomb go off just as he was going to open his office door when I was ten.
There is nothing I don’t know first hand about construction unions. Both working with them and against them.
Most of the members are our countrymen. Sure there is the marxist organizer and BA crowd but a lot of them helped elect Reagan and if we show them common courtesy and a honest shake they will stand with us because they are largely honest journeymen at their craft and have commonsense.
We don’t like it when we are tarred with a brush of robber baron or race supremitist when there are a few like that wearing our school colors. They shouldn’t have to bear each and every wrong for all of union criminality.
Leftist ideology is the cancer not our countrymen exposed to it, blighted by it or raised within it.
Any man, politician or otherwise, who bastardizes his religion for political expediency is not worthy of any vote, let alone any praise.
Jim, let me state I admire your statements. However, I do have a question for you.
What do you do when you are left with a range of candidates that are well below average? Last year, we had two great candidates (Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson) who unfortunately had essentially no chance of being elected. The primaries saw to that. After that, we were left with a bunch of flawed candidates. Ideally, we’d never be in the situation when we have to pick from Giuliani, Romney, and McCain. However, we were and we did. What happens then?
Any one of them, by their mere presence in the White House, would prevent legislation such as the monstrosity facing us today. No Congress, not even one so hard left as the current one, would risk passing close legislation knowing it faces both a veto and an inability to override the veto. This would be better for the country in the short term. Are you thinking that by letting the Marxist damage the country quickly it is better for the conservative movement in the long term? This is a valid idea, though a difficult one to prove.
SD has over 3 million population
My dist. runs from well educated in 1 to 12 million a unit condos and homes from $500,000 to over 20 million
Some of these are mixed voters.
A huge upscale gay dist. with thousands, mostly coll. grads
to trust fund suckers. Dem voters
Then areas of basic workers who are mostly Dems.
Several miles east in this dist. are Horn of Africa, Middle East, Russians, etc.
My neighborhood near downtown is a nice area, lot of people from New York and Boston also huge numbers of Europeans.
*Hell, Dallas County’s Sheriff is a lesbian*
San Diego County Dist. Atty is also and a Republican.
She is major law and order and probably the best DA in many many years. Don’t like the life style by she is doing
a great job especially with high profile situations.
I’m not the planner or the organizer. FR is simply one of the co-sponsoring organizations and participants in the movement. It’s a total grassroots effort. Millions of grassroots citizens from all political persuasions are turning out at tea parties all across the country. They are sick and tired of the liberals and RINOS walking all over our rights and stealing our freedoms and our tax dollars and driving our children into debt.
The big government party is over, Bob. The media and the political parties are trying to ignore it and wish it away, but they (the Tea Party patriots) are here to stay and they mean business. I’ve been to over 100 cities and 100 tea parties this year. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. ALL incumbents are endangered in 2010. The people are pissed at the political class. It’s going to be a bloodbath. And this will only be preparation for 2012 which will be even bloodier. We can only hope we have enough conservatives in place to win the seats where the incumbents are tossed out on their fat pampered fannies. And seeing as how more of the incumbents are Democrat or RINO than conservatives, I think we’ll be picking up lots of seats.
Even Michael Steele is beginning to see the handwriting on the wall and he’s now pretending to be a tea party patriot. A bit late and a dollar short though.
The Tea Party anthem is “Vote them out in 2010!”
By the way, you won’t like it but Sarah Palin appears to be a Tea Party patriot favorite in 2012.
Big centralized government, big spending, big taxes is out! Small government, local control, constitutional limits is in!
Everyone in the movement is talking smaller constitutional government, local control and restoration of individual liberty!
I probably shouldn’t go there but why do you think he “bastardized” his religion for political expediency? I really think he’s a good guy, a strong Christian. Don’t agree with him on the issues but I don’t think he did anything wrong. He did what he thought was right, he actually took a Catholic view on illegals. I’d despise him if I thought he did it because of big business or his own pocketbook but he didn’t. He’s just a little bit stupid. Hence, a great talk show host.
Where did I say that Dallas County was conservative?
Read it again. I said that north of Dallas County was conservative. I'm well aware of Dallas County politics.
Go back to the GOP debate threads. You will see word for word proof he uses his faith as an excuse for liberal policies. For example, when asked about by another candidate (it was either Fred or Romney) why he raised taxes in Arkansas, Huck replied, ‘I raised taxes because children need roads.’.
Well, I have faith in the American people. I believe we’re going to see one hell of a turnover in 2010 and 2012. The people are awakening and they don’t like what they’re seeing. The Marxists have gone one bridge too far.
Howdy back at ya from Collin!
