I probably shouldn’t go there but why do you think he “bastardized” his religion for political expediency? I really think he’s a good guy, a strong Christian. Don’t agree with him on the issues but I don’t think he did anything wrong. He did what he thought was right, he actually took a Catholic view on illegals. I’d despise him if I thought he did it because of big business or his own pocketbook but he didn’t. He’s just a little bit stupid. Hence, a great talk show host.

Go back to the GOP debate threads. You will see word for word proof he uses his faith as an excuse for liberal policies. For example, when asked about by another candidate (it was either Fred or Romney) why he raised taxes in Arkansas, Huck replied, ‘I raised taxes because children need roads.’.
