If GWB was a Clintonian "nation-builder," then so were Harry Truman and Doug MacArthur.

Boehner can see right through the scam that Pelosi is crafting. It’s a fig leaf to cover Democrats in districts where Americans don’t want their tax dollars paying for abortions.

I’ve noticed that neo-conservative has no real definable meaning, it’s a slur that they throw around.

“Invading Iraq was a neocon position, not a conservative one. In that sense, you are correct that it was not “far right.”
I don’t want to get flamed here, but I would like to point out that there were large well attended protests against invading Iraq. GWB said that the protests wouldn’t dampen his resolve and his base cheered. How is this any different. BO will ignore the Tea Parties the same way GWB did the anti-war crowd and his base will cheer. Like many here have said. Elections have consequences.

My understanding is that by 2013, private insurance will be phased out.

After it passes in Da House, all its ugliness revealed, and then killed in the Senate, this attempted travesty can be used to drive all these Rats out next year. If...?

It will be phased out, no doubt. But members of Congress won’t be required to use the monstrousity of a health care program they’re creating for all of us. They’ll get to keep their health care program. We won’t.

Sure. I kept hearing here it wouldn’t even get this far.
Don’t count on this thing being killed if it passes the house.

its a slur that they throw around.I agree. I'm interested to see if we get an answer to our polite questioning of Herr Aussenseiter.
FWIW: I'm not sure but I think that aussenseiter in German means "outsider."

Nancy needs to go to rehab, but she said, “No, we won on Tuesday.”
Yeah, and the Phillies won the Series.

How much will that add to unemployment? What about all those people who work for health insurance companies? Do they get phased into government employees or are they just kicked to the street?

Now this guy is saying the right thing.
“this bill takes away freedom.”
“This freedom came from great sacrifice.”
HELL YES.

My understanding is that by 2013, private insurance will be phased out.In any event the government option is predatory pricing and will drive legitimate plans out of business. See tag.

Correct—the language of the bill says they are “permitted” to opt into the system, not “required.”

No, you did not go to congress to fulfill the wishes of the people. You are representatives, NOT Santa Claus.
