“Invading Iraq was a neocon position, not a conservative one. In that sense, you are correct that it was not “far right.”

I don’t want to get flamed here, but I would like to point out that there were large well attended protests against invading Iraq. GWB said that the protests wouldn’t dampen his resolve and his base cheered. How is this any different. BO will ignore the Tea Parties the same way GWB did the anti-war crowd and his base will cheer. Like many here have said. Elections have consequences.

Good grief...stealing American’s private healthcare and our earnings for the rest of our lives, our children's lives, our grand-children’s lives...is the same as taking out Saddam and Sons and their terrorist State after 9/11?

This rationalization is devoid of reality.

The hijack patrol is in place. I’m guilty, so are you.

I don’t want to get flamed here, but I would like to point out that there were large well attended protests against invading Iraq.

Well attended by rent-a-mobs, enemies of this nation and professional protestors.

Well-attended by people like the Communist Youth League.

Well-attended by people carrying around signs like "We support our troops when they shoot their officers"

Well-attended (I use a real example from my own hometown here) by people who called a potential invasion of Iraq "terrorism" carried out by a "terrorist-in-chief" whose troops would kill "hundreds of thousands of children" but wanted to be called "patriotic."

"Well-attended" compared to previous protest actions, but vastly outnumbered by Americans who supported taking Saddam out...actual polling data showed Americans wanted Saddam gone by a sizable margin.

Compare that to the tea parties. Real Americans, not rent-a-mobs, people from every strata of our society and both political parties, people who are truly patriotic and are solidly on the side of public opinion.

GW ignored a bunch of idiots and domestic enemies. Obama and Pelosi ignore the heart of this nation. They will regret it.
