"Republican Dede Scozzafava today endorsed Democrat Bill Owens, her former opponent, in Tuesday's election to fill the North Country congressional seat formerly held by John McHugh.

Scozzafava suspended her campaign for the 23rd District seat Saturday, citing weak poll numbers and inadequate campaign funds.

In a statement released this afternoon, she called Owens ''an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York.''"

1. Disrupt and heckle Congressional speeches by the RINO's, point them out for the traitors, cowards and Socialists they truly are.

Please don't. That will turn off people who don't pay much attention to politics. And it is how CodePink acts. We are better than those nutjobs.

Rather than using our energy against the Senate RINOs(for now), I believe we’d be better off focusing our efforts on taking back the seats that should be ours but are not, in places such as, Montana, North Dakota, Arkansas and Missouri. After we get the majority we can deal with the RINOs. While we can’t count on them for much else, at least they will vote R for Senate leader; we can’t do much else until we win that vote. We will come back for them later.

I see what you’re saying, but I feel that the RINO’s are preventing us from doing just that, i.e. by undermining our agenda and soaking up scarce RNC funds, the RNC break us down from the inside and prevent us from making those gains. IMHO for us to be able to regain those seats at all, we need to train our sights on the RINO’s first and force them out ASAP— hopefully push them to retire like Martinez, and to do so this year, so that we’ll be able to unify as the conservative party that our base truly is.

Again, the historical comparison is Goldwater in 1964. It wasn’t comfortable for us, but if we’d just muddled along with that era’s versions of RINO’s— rather than making the philosophical break that we did with Goldwater, and pushing out the traitors— then there would have been no Reagan, no conservative revolution, no 3-4 decades of Republican dominance going into the first decade of the 21st century. We had to take care of our own ranks first, and even though it meant some momentary pain in 1964, it resulted in the greatest period of conservative transformation and rule that our nation had ever known. Far better to excise the RINO wound today, rather than letting it fester and continue to drag us down.

There is nothing that Graham, Snowe, Collins, Hatch, McMahon, Cochran and their fellow traitors can do, to return them into our good graces. They’ve betrayed us far too many times before and shown themselves to be untrustworthy, and any crumbs they toss in our direction would be just that— crumbs, to feign their loyalty even as they get breathing room for their next betrayal.

That’s why we can’t tolerate it anymore. The RINO’s have to go, ASAP, and preferably be forced out and pushed to resign as Martinez was. We don’t have the luxury of waiting— we need action.

One of the 1963 goals of Communism was to take over one of the political parties in the US. They have come dangerously close to taking over both.

....then there would have been no Reagan, no conservative revolution....

Wrong, wrong, wrong, just plain wrong.

Reagan's speech at the 1964 convention guaranteed that he had a place at the conservative table. On hearing his speech I and many others thought, "Damn, we're nominating the wrong guy".

The fight then, as now is with the Rockefeller wing of the GOP.

RWR had only begun to fight.

Get one BIG scalp and the message will resonate like a thunderclap. Conservatives need to mount a strong primary challenger to McCain. Period. He LOST the election and gave us Obama.

Does McCain have a primary challenger?

He has two that have declared, Chris Simcox of the Minutemen and Jim Deakins of nothing. Former Congressman J. D. Hayworth has been sitting on the sidelines and making noises. None of them have even the slightest chance.

I’m sorry, but your first suggestion is idiocy.

None of these people face election for a year, and they will be voting on bills and other matters, so you wantto angervthem as much as possible?

They might see the writing on the wall, but the two of them don’t have enough combined intellect to READ what it is saying ... along with those that will keep voting for them along with the rest of the RINO’s. Ther is many of those on this board.

I think we do it somewhat incrementally. Those that are in vulnerable seats can be shown the error of their ways by watching what happens to their RINO brethren in more conservative districts which makes them more easily replaced and thus more expendable. McCain would be the best one to start with as far as the senate goes because AZ is pretty solidly red. An all-out effort to get Hayworth or whomever in could be successful rather easily. That and the replacement of some House seats occupied by RINOs or do-nothings in safe districts would go a long way toward making believers of some of the lesser RINOs or semi-RINOs and forcing them back on the straight and narrow. Those that then didn’t keep to the conservative end of the platform can be replaced the next time they’re up. Reinforce the message with fresh blood as needed.

Regarding the senate, there are some RINOs who cannot be replaced with conservatives due to the demographics of their state. The loathsome Lincoln Chafee (worst offender of all time, in my opinion) is a good example. No way was RI going to elect a standard or even conservative pub to replace him. ME is not a conservative state by any stretch. If Snowe and Collins get knocked off as incumbents, that will be the end of those seats for the pub party to draw on to reach a majority.

We have to be smart and realistic, not knee-jerking “My way or the highway” at all times because sometimes it ends up being a shot in the foot instead.

We should choose our battles carefully, not go off half-cocked on a slash & burn rampage all at once.

The $900k should be taken out of the pockets of the 11 county pub party leaders that picked skankakfava.

I view it simply as a more blatant example of the rats using our money to elect their candidates. They use taxpayer funds for that purpose all the time. What many don’t realize is that they’re using our party’s money when they conspire to slip a RINO, especially a steroidal RINO like Skankafava, in on our campaign fund money.
