This act has devalued the award. I don’t think that even Obama himself expected to get it.

Don’t forget Billy Jeff Clinton. He always coveted a Nobel to help hide the DNA stains on his legacy. Poor egoist must be seething with rage at all the all the ridiculous accolades heaped on Obama that could have been his were his libido lower and his melanin higher.

O didn’t expect it, but feels it’s well deserved.

I don’t think Obama expected it either.

I heard a story that somebody called the White House press office early this morning, asking for reaction, and the very first White House press people reaction was wondering if it was like an April’s fool joke. They were caught flat footed.

Devalued? I don’t think so. I just wiped my butt this morning with some of that ‘Nobel Peace Prize’ award certificate stuff this morning...

It was already devalued by passing over Irena Sendler for Al Gore’s fiction.

Few things really surprise me.

Obama winning the Nobel prize for doing absolutely NOTHING did.

Even Mike Steele can hit this ball out of the park

“What has President Obama actually accomplished?’ It is unfortunate that the president’s star power has outshined tireless advocates who have made real achievements working towards peace and human rights. One thing is certain -– President Obama won’t be receiving any awards from Americans for job creation, fiscal responsibility, or backing up rhetoric with concrete action.” - Steele

BTW Tim Pawlenty who wants us to vote for him for President says “the “appropriate response is to say congratulations” .”.

I think he was as shocked as anyone to be fair. He knows he didn't deserve it. He could do the right thing and refuse it, but it would look bad politically to do that and we just wouldn't want that to happen huh? /s.

Which is shocking, as he is the messiah, both all knowing and all deserving...bwaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha.

Just when we thought it was safe had been devalued as to be near meaningless...

Wait...it WAS already near meaningless, unless Arafat should get credit for making a deal he reneged upon, before the ink was dry.

As the now deceased, former King Hussein of Jordan put it, many years ago;

No, the award became meaningless when they awarded it to Yassar Arafat.

This act has devalued the award.

I didn't think that was possible after Jimmuh Carter won it, but you are, of course, correct.

Right. Now it's on par with the Pulitzer.

I’m sure he didnt.

However, the award was devalued when Al Gore got it two years back.

“This act has devalued the award”

That supposes the award had any value in the first place. It didn't.
Chairman Arafat(Nobe Peace Prize Winner) says “Hello”.

This award was clearly pre-selected, with Obama's full knowledge. That's why his specious statement of surprise and humility rang so false and insincere. Only the Emporers' tailors in the media, and the stolid burghers who trust them believe he was surprised.

It should be increasingly clear by now that we are living in a "Matrix" world politically speaking. Everything is as programmed as Saudi money, international accommodation, and compliant media can make it.

My take is that this prize was debase long ago.

Take a look at a list of those who won it over the last 20years. There are very few who really deserve it.

How can one possibly devalue an award that was given to Jimmy Carter for being stupid and Al Gore for writing a fantasy movie? I loved the cartoon posted on FR of Obama pulling the Medal out of a box of Cracker Jacks.
