You might think a posthumous Medal of Honor award ceremony would be a somber occasion, but not everyone would agree with you. Either this is an especially skillful photo shop effort or Michelle Obama has no clue whatsoever about the nature of this event. U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jared C. Monti’s parents received the award for him. I hope they didn’t notice the first lady’s stunningly inappropriate dress, but that’s unlikely.

"This would have been a better choice...." Yeah that would have definitely wordked for the oaccasion.
The dress she chose would have been good for stuff like the Easter Egg Roll or maybe Coutry at the White House or other Fun occasions.

I was thinking more along the lines of a “End the War” type dress:
The black and white intermixed means that in all wars nothing is just Black or White. Both sides have issues that warrant equal merit. America needs to not see things in such terms as liberty, tyranny, terrorism or freedom. We need to adopt a inclusive attitude for dealing with other Peoples of the Earth.
The red indicates the senseless blood that we have shed all around the world by sending our young men and women overseas to shoot up and bomb villages and wedding parties.
Oh. The green/blue shoes are to match the ribbon on the medal thingy.
All joking aside - prayers for the family of this soldier and all of those that are in our armed services.
