What not to wear to a Medal of Honor award (Michelle Tarts Up for Ceremony)

You might think a posthumous Medal of Honor award ceremony would be a somber occasion, but not everyone would agree with you. Either this is an especially skillful photo shop effort or Michelle Obama has no clue whatsoever about the nature of this event. U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jared C. Montis parents received the award for him. I hope they didnt notice the first ladys stunningly inappropriate dress, but thats unlikely.

Really. She doesnt have half the alluring figure that she thinks she does and that the leftist MSM drools over. She dresses as if she has to wear something that enables the MSM to comment on how fit she is. The white liberals in the MSM have to be culturally sensitive, and they are sure that Michelle's dress is representative of the quaint African-American culture that they know nothing about but are sure must exist. Anything but slobbery adulation of Michelle Obama would be racist. The people in the MSM have to contort themselves in all sorts of positions, and like all liberals, they have to ignore the evidence of their own senses in order to maintain a coherent worldview.

I’d imagine the dress was part of a message they wanted to present. Notice its a mostly RED dress.

Laura understands that the attention should be focused on the recipient. To wear a bright color and boldly designed outfit detracts attention away from the award and ( most important) the person receiving it.
I remember once when my mother chose not to wear a beautiful bright pink dress to her niece’s wedding. She said, “I don’t want to take attention away from my sister.” ( the bride’s mom)

And no hosiery. To be fair - most women here in the DC area do not wear hosiery. The weather here just makes it a one-way ticket to a case of the itchy-owies if you know what I mean. It took me awhile to get used to seeing women in suits with no hose, but I have happily joined their ranks!
Beyond that, the one time she wears a flattering dress, it's totally inappropriate to the occasion and the shoes don't match at all. That woman is truly a fasion idiot.

'Michelle is thinking, "It's all about me."' I always thought the standard for such occasions was the "Little Black Dress" but I am not what you call fashion conscious.
Anyhow an ex-girlfriend told me that you wear Dark Colors to a solemn occasion whether it be a funeral or a speech etc.

Okay, I will be in the minority here. I think she looks decent BUT NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE OCCASSION.
She has a huge butt and no matter what she wears it is going to look huge. If she were going out for a night on the town with different color shoes..she looks decent.
One of her better looks...or maybe I am still trying to get over the suicide bomber belt with the unbuttoned hooker look shirt.

RACIST!!!!!!!!
She is the ugliest first Lady in history...no designer can cover her Wookie face and body.
We have a moron and Chewbacca in the White House.

Just looked around the web to confirm. It’s from three days ago, and she did indeed wear that cruise-lounge slinker at an event to honor a fallen hero.
And she has access to the best advice, so you can’t say it’s stupidity or bad taste.

Not necessarily a bad looking dress, just grossly inappropriate for the ceremony she was attending.

Michelle 0bama is irrelevant. I hope everyone here is familair with the life and deeds of Sergeant Jared Monti from Raynham, MA. He was a stunningly dedicated and unassuming young man. When I read of his actions in Afghanistan, I once again found myself uttering the phrase, "Where do we find such young men?"
EXCELLENT POST. Screw Michelle O, she is irrelevant here.

Party dress. Wrong cut, style. fabric (way too silken, sheer, luminous, lightweight,) shocking clownish color and print, lack of jacket or even shawl or scarf for cryin' out loud.
At every turn she wears THE most wrong outfit one could imagine. It's like she's echoing her metro-hubby's totally WRONG policies and forced direction into which he's leading the country.
Freaking backwater bolshevik bumpkins.
