Camille Paglia Provides Much-Needed Intellectual Cred for Birthers (Going Mainstream?)

And you thought birtherism was just for hillbillies and Republicans! David Weigel heard Camille Paglia on NPR yesterday, where the author of Sexual Personae and UArts professor told a no doubt astonished latte-drinking audience that "there are legitimate questions about the documentation of Obama's birth certificate. I'm sorry, I've been following this closely from the start." Indeed she has; we noticed her railing on the topic as far back as November ("simple questions about the certificate were never resolved to my satisfaction"). Now that they've got a genuine intellectual on board, the birthers just need a popular entertainer to carry their message to the sheeple. Come on, Toby Keith, what are you waiting for?

Excellent post. Well said and written. You’re correct that it is up to the states to ensure that their elections are legitimate. I’ve done some lengthy research on Texas election code that I plan to post soon that proves the Texas Democratic Party violated election law in nominating Barack Obama. I’m waiting for the legal opinion of two people before posting it. I’m hopeful it can be used as the basis of a lawsuit against the TDP and the SOS of Texas.

He doesnt need to have a legal eligibility fraud in order to have problems: if his birth certificate says either that his father was unknown, or that his birth name is not Barack 0bama, it betrays him as a poseur.
I agree. I've thought ever since the Obambi campaign said there was "something embarassinig" on his birth certificate that it wasn't his birthplace. Its something with his name "Che Fidel Marx Dunham" perhaps or that Frank Marshall Davis is the name listed as the father. Not a big deal because you can't pick your parents (and can only change your name after the fact) but it certainly damages the mythology he has so carefully crafted. He may be an incompetent huckster, but he's an eligible incompetent huckster.

But another father listed would definitely blow the lid off a Barack Obama myth. That would do him some serious political damage, IMHO. Agreed. I'll add: any of the hidden documents WILL blow 0b0z0's myth out of the water and most likely will cost him the Presidency.
Why am I so sure without citing any documents or pictures? Thats precisely the reason, because they are HIDDEN! I dont consider the sealed BS acceptable.
Just think ONLY of 0b0z0's college records. They should contain info about any or all of the following:
- Did he graduate at all? If he did, what was the "brilliant" GPA(s)?
- Did he apply as a foreign student? Affirmative action? Who paid for his education and on what basis?
- Any disciplinary actions against him? What offenses? Was he kicked out of a school? If so, why? Did he drop out of any school?
The college records alone could prove that 0b0z0 is not even a naturalized American citizen. They will certainly prove that his education was garbage or non-existent. They will blow the MSM's "brilliant" aura -bestowed on a ghost called 0b0z0 and down our throats- to smithereens.
That was just one set of records out of many and I repeat, because they are HIDDEN, I'm sure that disaster will strike 0b0z0, his cabal aka government and the Left in general if any of these records see the light.
This is why I'm a ghoster, NOT A BIRTHER!

He may be an incompetent huckster, but he's an eligible incompetent huckster. There is absolutely no way to prove or disprove that statement with the information currently in the public record. Therein lies the basis of most birther claims.

By the way,...I am just as disgusted with the conservative media regarding Obamas eligibility! They will **never** have my trust and respect again. They are nothing but big loud mouths with gonads the size of dust mites.
I am beginning to think the same thing, too.
Hard to take them seriously on some of the issues they raise...when they smite and harangue those who bring up the Obama Birth issue.
Oustide of Rusty Humphries and Bill Cunningham....the rest of the conservative [sic] media have been Obama Enablers

We should always skeptical about long-range never-met-the-patient psychiatric diagnosis -- yet --- (sigh) "Dreams From my Father": taken at face value, there's plenty there that fairly shouts "attachment disorder."
And, if you know anything about attachment disorder: that's scary.
I pray for Barack Obama every day since I am convinced that God wants him to "be saved, and come to a knowledge of the truth." I pray for him to be saved; and I pray for his power to be restrained.

Simple questions never resolved. It's nice to hear her say it. Of course she has to throw an 'I'm sorry' in there, to placate her host. On NPR, no less. LOL, there must have been some stunned listeners, let's hope none were driving at the moment!

You are absolutely correct. There are more unknowns than knowns about him and it is very deliberate. I'm still amazed that the media can track down an octogenarian in South America that a then young, unmarried John McCain had a romance with but can't seem to find anyone from Obama's past- much less anything written down anywhere apart from his "memoirs".

No argument there. We wouldn’t be in this situation if the Texas Democratic Party had followed the Texas Election Code. It mandates the one and only way a candidate can be declared ineligible. It allows for the declaration of ineligibility before and after the election.
The Texas Democratic Party didn’t adhere to specific procedures mandated by law. And I’m not speaking of an abstract concept of honoring an oath. Texas Election Code specifically mandates how a candidate’s application to be on the ballot is to be reviewed and approved. It provides no wiggle room.
The Texas Democratic Party broke the law in Texas when they nominated Obama as their candidate for POTUS.

Nobody owns Camille Paglia. If Paglia thinks something’s fishy, she’ll say so...which is why her interest is BAD news for Obama.
