Colorado: Parents win against Obama Propaganda. Here is how they FORCED a student Opt-out 4 9/8/09

Posted on 09/03/2009 7:51:53 AM PDT by steve0

The purpose of this thread is to secure a commitment from each local Principal to provide an opt-out so that no one is forced to endure Obama's subtle, presumptuous speech. Below, I will provide a sample of reasonable letters we want the Principal to sign. If refused, we know where they stand and will take the appropriate action against them. Here is an article of how they roll in Colorado. http://blogs.westword.com/latestword/2009/09/douglas_county_school_allows_p.php It would be useful if the only comments on this thread are how to do this, report your results and contact information for the press to report and follow-up on.

The media will say...

The child is in a RACIST family.
+++++++++++++++++++

Not saying you’re wrong, but the state propoganda organ’s approval by the people is very low - like that of ‘politician.’

So they can say what they wish - but they are now widely perceived, like the boy who cried wolf, er ‘racist’ for the umpteenth time, to be LIARS.

Just amazing the power the government thinks they have over good ole Mom and Dad!

It has been given the green light for decades. Same as unsupervised and undiscipined children experimenting and getting away with increasingly outrageous behavior, because those who had the power to stop the insanity, didn't bother. The children learn that they really can get away with anything.

A Republic, if you can keep it. Well, there went that idea. America is circling the drain.

Our district will not be showing it either. According to the radio news, few, if any local schools will be seeing it until later, and then with parental consent.

I think maybe the next generation of activists needs to stage The Great American Walkout. A group of ten or twenty kids could get the word out to the whole school over the weekend. Say the moment that Obama starts talking they walkout of the classrooms. Have them bring signs or wear T-shirts saying education not indoctrination or Obama sucks or stop wasting our time. Have the initiators call the media to let them know.

The best way to fight back would be to take them out of the PUBLIC SCHOOL COMMUNIST SYSTEM and ENROLE your children into a private Christian school or charter school and have the school district lose massive funding - If Americans were EVER to sacrifice for their children TODAY is the day...private schools ARE expensive, but the difference is so great and worth the money.

When we grew up and went to school
There were certain teachers who
Would hurt the children any way they could

By pouring their derision upon anything we did
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

But in the town it was well known when they got home at night their fat and psychopathic wives would thrash them to within inches of their lives!

Hey Charles Johnson,

Explain this Obama Youth video produced by Democrats.

Children should not be politicized, let them be children Charles.

the video was pulled....why am I not surprised...did anyone download a copy of it by any chance?

So what? I never signed over my parental rights to Sub-zero.
Being president is MEANINGLESS when it comes to giving him rights over OTHER PEOPLE’S CHILDREN.

Those children were there with parental permission, and they didn’t try to broadcast it to ALL the schools.

My daughter’s first grade teacher hadn’t even heard about it. Obviously not a news junkie. :)

Still waiting for responses from my fifth grader’s teacher, the elementary principal, the middle school, and the high school. I’m going to start going ballistic in the morning.

(I actually think my emails to the elementary teachers were probably eaten by their spam filter. It’s happened before. )

I use to say that I went to school during the dark ages of the 50’s and 60’s but I now believe I went to school during the best time of all. We had teachers who knew what teaching was about, did not wear clothes like they were going to a picnic, really knew their subject matter, kept back kids who did not learn, etc. I remember one time my high school English teacher and I got into a disagreement about girls having to wear Sunday clothes to a football game. I said it was silly but she said it was important to dress up. I wonder what she would think nowadays the way game goers dress.

In my small town, the parents knew the teachers and knew the teachers would not allow any nonsense. Some students did get a car on top of the 3 story building. I often wondered how that was done but no one was talking. Then there was the time that one of my brothers and some friends stole a teacher's car and drove it down into a gully. The only big problem with that was that the teacher saw what they did and told my dad and the dads of the others. Don't think they did that anymore.

I saw a car the other day with an Obama sticker on it. I so wanted to get even with the driver to see what she thought about the guy she voted for but the light changed about that time and I was about 3 cars behind in the other lane.

Yeah, bless her little heart she did not have a clue about this bozo. She was just doing what her parents, grandparents, and others had done for years without thinking for herself and doing research.

Well, no doubt she was mentally challenged (and driving a car at that!) so we have to be charitable and summon pity toward her and her mental illness, from our hearts.

If the video was the one with the singing children, there’s one here.

“President George H.W. Bush gave a similar talk in 1991, PolitiFact notes.”

Remember how national test scores soared after that? Seriously, whatever Hussein says will be forgotten by recess.

Just heard on the local talk radio two school systems-(two different counties)- in Florida are opting out of the Obama propaganda.

Only two!....but better than nothing.
