The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30 (see trends).
Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.
At the other end of the spectrum, today’s total for Strongly Disapprove matches the highest level yet recorded. The 41% mark was reached just once before and that came one week ago today. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans now Strongly Disapprove along with 49% of those not affiliated with either major party.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove.

The doofus keeps threatening to ram this POS undiscernable Healthcare legislation down the American people’s throat, frankly, I’m surprised his approval ratings are this high!
Well, I think we have a new world record for tanking poll numbers.
I am deeply concerned about this country. My friends and coworker’s (the bulk of whom vote Dem) are all struggling and out of work. Our good friends (not dems) just lost their job. They waited 20 years to remodel their home and finally did so this summer. Last week they were shocked to learn of a 300 person layoff and my friend got caught in it. He’s been there forever too and is a valued employee. They, like us will probably have to move out of state and uproot everyone to get work.
May the Lord have mercy on this country for turning away from reason, Israel and God. Maybe this crisis will bring people to their knees and force them to evaluate what is truly important in life.
I weep for this beautiful country.

I got a date conversion error message, but did not notice the year was wrong when I posted.
Taking data from website is at times tricky. Normally I cut from website, save in editor and then import saved text to spreadsheet. From there I create HTML table.
When I did that on Rasmussen’s site it streamed like XML. Serial not tabular. I pasted that directly into the spreadsheet. Will double check next time.

Reality check: This -14 number doesn’t bother nobama one bit. Mix together his enormous ego, his unheard of level of arrogance and his mentally problematic narcissism. You have someone who will ignore poll numbers because, in his head, he’s the savior of the world!
My question: what can we do to stop this?
What I noticed in the last few days is people just laugh at what he says. They don’t seem to have any opinion of him - he’s become nothing more than an entertainer. That was the risk of turning him into a celebrity, I suppose.
That's a good point. We are entering into uncharted territory for obama. He's only know high approval, sweetness and light, adoring, idolizing fan support. But...
How will he act with a majority of Americans decide they don't like him and they don't like what he's doing? Perhaps then we will see the real obama instead of one of his many masks. I hope the show will be worth the price of the admission.

This is remarkable. I never expected his strongly approve rating to drop below 29, because that is the hard core of moonbat idiots, the folks who, it was proverbially said, would continue to support bill clinton if he raped a child on prime-time TV.
It must be when he raised the white flag and withdrew the public option. That was nothing but a head fake, but it clearly upset the lefties. Also, there’s the continuing war in Afghanistan that the press is ignoring but can’t ignore completely.
Also, there was a jag down in the strongly disapprove numbers, which had seemed to be leveling off a bit. Must be the latest news on the health plan failure.
He was still planning to ram through a “compromise” and get what he wanted that way. But now the odds are shifting against him—I hope.
Keep the pressure on. No compromise. No obamacare AT ALL.
