Daily Presidential Tracking Poll -- 0bama now at -14!
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 23 August 2009 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 08/23/2009 6:35:52 AM PDT by ScottinVA

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30 (see trends).

Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.

At the other end of the spectrum, today’s total for Strongly Disapprove matches the highest level yet recorded. The 41% mark was reached just once before and that came one week ago today. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans now Strongly Disapprove along with 49% of those not affiliated with either major party.

Check out our review of last week’s key polls to see “What They Told Us.” Topics include health care, the deficit, stimulus package, state polls and more.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.

Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove.

Barack Obama’s undoing just might be the tritely nebulous sloganeering he chose to employ during his campaign - it's come back to haunt him & it's now exactly that much vaunted ‘change’ which is now scaring the bejeebers out of many of the very people who voted for it now that they're looking at its precise terms up close & personal.
+++++++++++++++++

Good obeservations. This makes me ANGRY at those people, for pulling the voting lever for someone they didn't know enough about, and who had purposely obfuscated about his past and his unbelievable and nonexistent record.

THAT is what is going to ultimately kill him politically: Ridicule.

It can’t happen fast enough for me.

Let’s just hope the rest of the “Progressive”= CommuFascist leaders and supporters of the Democrats go the same route and even more rapidly.

“the fastest and most thorough way to destroy a machine is to run it the way it is supposed to go, but much faster than it is designed to run.”

Which is exactly what Hussein is doing.... You misinterpret which machine is being destroyed here. They hold the power which they will not willingly give up - especially to ignorant voters. This is their one big chance, and they are going to do whatever it takes to make their visions come true, polls and citizens be damned.
++++++++++++++

This is definitely the absolute worst case scenario - which is important to consider. How many of the 314 Ds out of the Congress (did I do my math right?) would allow this?

Last nights numbers must have been truly horrendous to move him from -10 to -14 in one day. And they will be averaged in to the next couple of days' numbers.

Around the same time the deficit was being "adjusted" by Obama from $7 Trillion to a mere $9 Trillion. Maybe some taxpaying Americans noticed.

Now he's totally destroying the fiscal viability of America and he simply drops the bad news and saunter off to Lib Disneyland? What's a few trillion matter when I'm late for my fun time vacation.

The SRM must be feeling frantic today...report Barry's Fabulous Vineyard Adventure, complete with swoony pics of his manly chest and JFK-like images of the First Family sailing and strolling along the shore, or keep quiet while America struggles in the August heat.

At least nationalized health care is reversible through new legislation, although slowly, and the longer it stays in place, the more ensconced it will become in the mind of the American public, especially those who consider themselves entitled (Democrats.)

There are many more policies which Ø is working to enact that will be disastrous and nearly irreversible if he succeeds - nationwide same-sex "marriage"; instant citizenship for the millions of illegal aliens that have overrun this country; the demilitarization of the U.S. to the glee of our most ardent enemies, etc.

After appropriate arm twisting/breaking, all of them. If the Dems want it badly enough, they will get the votes in both Houses. Seems to me it is a unrecoverable spiral - once it begins they cannot pull out, only go to more extremes. If they press the Red Button before they hit the ground, they will explode prematurely and fail to achieve their dreams, but once they hit the ground, the resulting explosion will be thermonuclear in nature.

314 sounds right to pass in the House, 60 for the Senate.

Do you count the RINOS?

Why would that idea die? It is an idea that needs to be worked into - slowly as events unfold (or made to unfold). The people who you seem to be counting on to explain all this to Him are the very people who would most favor such an idea. When people like that are given power, it is the end and the means that are important not their lives, c.f. the Russian Revolution.

As far as citizen being armed to the teeth, remember the philosophy of “kill them all and let G-d sort it out” - they would not hesitate (once that far) to eliminate whole swaths of population, c.f. China's Cultural Revolution.

The Russian Revolution/Cultural Revolution in China are bad examples to prove your point, for the simple reason that the US has, and uses, the Second  Amendment. Both those countries never had an armed populace to any extent. The US has more legally owned weapons than the current population, and god knows how many that are uncounted from before WWII.

Second, who is gonna do the shooting? The Army!?!

Are you a veteran? When you were in, would you have followed orders to shoot American citizens?

While I freely admit that probably some can be found would shoot Americans, I'm damn sure that 90+ % of currently serving and trained soldiers would shoot whoever gave them the order, then proceed to shoot anyone who followed it. I'm sure as hell I would. One of the things they're trained on is what constitutes an illegal order.

Last, do you have any idea how long it would take to select and train enough people who would follow that order, before the war started? Or any idea of the number of these 'cannon fodder' it would take just to take on just our civilian hunters, and win?

Hell, it took months to train cannon fodder back in Napoleon's day, let alone now. Do you have any idea how much maintenance goes into a mini-gun, or grenade launcher? Movement under fire? Pack'n'Stack building clearance? And that's just off the top of an old Vietnam Sailor's head.

I'm a pretty cynical-to-pessimistic guy, but I just don't buy it.

Right on the mark, my FRiend.

The thin-skinned narcissist will be destroyed by ridicule. If, and only if, some portion of the MSM turns on him.

In absence of Media ridicule, 0bo0z0 will lie to himself, chuck it up to “them eeeeeevil Conservatives and Bush’s faults”, and convince himself that everything is nice and dandy.

Right, but if you'll notice, it's the low polling that has stopped the HR3200 in its tracks! I'm not saying he won't still try - but maybe it will look like this:

I read today that Bubba and Hillery are getting together this weekend. I’m sure it will just be “quality family time”.

Do you think Hillery will take Bubba to task for upstaging her in N. Korea? Or that these two will not end putting their heads together to seek a way to take advantage of Onada’s falling poll numbers.
