...according to Myers and at least one of my other sources that attended, aside from joking to each other about the ridiculous nonsense in the museum, no one misbehaved. But that didnt seem to stop museum officials from harassing individuals and eventually kicking a few people out of the museum for imaginary infractions.
Essentially, it seems the museum feels that merely disagreeing with its science and mocking it to ones friends is grounds for having visitors removed from the property. This is absurd. Could you imagine if the American Museum of Natural History ejected visitors for being creationists? Or if the Museum of Modern Art ejected visitors for critiquing the art or mocking Jackson Pollacks work quietly with their friends? It would never happen. Thats because REAL museums are tools for education and dont try to control how its visitors think.

So Jacquerie, are you and I going to each give $20 to FR now?
Why can’t you let Creationists alone in their article of faith as you wish to be left alone in belief of the Trinity?
Please point out the lie.
How is that remotely relevant with what God wrote about the subject?
You think technology would be necessary to achieve the goal, which is false. The people who wrote the OT obviously believed in supernatural power.
Let me know when the Pope controlled your life, or had any effect over the government in the country you live in.
Luckily the Pope has little secular power -- anymore. Your claim that "Christians never had power in the government." is absurd and ignores over a thousand years of history.
Christians never had "secular power" in America.
Really? Read up on the Puritans. Or are you talking about the United States, which was founded so that nobody could establish a theocracy. Of course, your statement is incorrect, since Christians have always made up the vast majority of our government.
And global warming is a belief system that man has the power to control the weather.
Technologically it may be possible one day. It'll also be stupid. These people have never heard of the Law of Unintended Consequences.
They did need the muscle in their power struggle with the Byzantines and to protect the territory from Muslim invasion. They of course turned to the ones who managed to beat back the Muslims.
But I wouldn't call the Franks barbaric in general. The Franks were already mostly Christian by the time Charles Martel started the Carolingian dynasty, they just didn't submit to the Pope's authority until later (the Pope started crowning Frankish emperors with his grandson Charlemagne, and then it was a trick). Not that being Christian suddenly makes a population non-barbaric. Charlemagne killing any Saxon who wouldn't convert to Christianity was pretty barbaric.
"Even Dollywood is too far out for me. Too many people appreciating it ironically."
Great analogy...why bother except to joke about it..
Anyway we were told to shut up or leave the museum... It is not good museum manners, I guess, to mock that which the museum people think is a worthy exhibit and that which patrons go to see at the museum.
Life is not the Internet or the communist professor's classroom.
The atheist baiters are back. They think they are smarter and superior to everyone else and they enjoy mocking God. You see, everyone else about God is wrong and they, a teeny minority of the human race, are right. ;)
If they didn't care, they wouldn't go to the extremes that they do to try to disprove His existence. If you don't care about something, you don't give it the attention that atheists give to God.
There is nobody on any obsessive campaign to prove the the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist.
You're just so cool and awesome. I feel so put in my place now.
Just so you know, there are approximately 2500 prophecies in Scripture, 2000 of which have been fulfilled since they were written. And the rest are in the process of being fulfilled in our time.
But, hey, you're that much of a Bible expert that you can call me insane, right?
LOL. I'm sure everyone's impressed.
The snake in the grass leftists on Free Republic jump at any chance they can to attack the religious views and faith that all liberals attack.
The Free Republic liberals and the Obama cult all attack biblical conservative Christianity which most closely matches the faith of the founding population of this civilization and has been mostly closely reflected in its laws for almost four hundred years.
I posted what God said:
He sits enthroned abbove the circle of the earth...
Your response was:
A circle and a sphere are two different things. But you bring out only one of many OT instances that show the ancient belief of a flat earth. They add up pretty well.
You took the Scripture that I posted, you took what God said, and twisted it and added your own junk to fit your worldview. You lied.
You think technology would be necessary to achieve the goal, which is false. The people who wrote the OT obviously believed in supernatural power.
God deals in reality. God has told us there would be a world government and a world dictator, and he told us this quite a few centuries ago. The fact is, we now have the technology to give an identifying number to every human being on the face of the earth. This isn't difficult, unless you are willing to twist yourself into contortions trying to deny it. We also are hearing and reading, in our time, about global currencies and global government which is what God said would happen. The prophecy is in the process of being fulfilled, and all the twisting of Scripture and denial of the facts will not make it go away.
Luckily the Pope has little secular power -- anymore. Your claim that "Christians never had power in the government." is absurd and ignores over a thousand years of history.
If you have to go back centuries to find material, then you really don't have much of a case. The entire world has rejected God, including America, and we now have your wonderful secular leadership that you love so much. How's that working out by the way? You like Barack Obama's God-rejecting, secular presidency?
Really? Read up on the Puritans. Or are you talking about the United States, which was founded so that nobody could establish a theocracy. Of course, your statement is incorrect, since Christians have always made up the vast majority of our government.
That's just laughable. Christians have always made up the vast majority of the government? Christians legalized abortion? Christians legalized slavery? Christians have sold our secret nuclear technology to our enemies? Christians sat by and did nothing while Americans were murdered by terrorists? Christians are the ones who have bowed to Saudi kings and have set women and children on fire at some obscure religious compound? And what effect have the Puritans ever had on your life? What are you talking about?
Technologically it may be possible one day.
I'll believe that when I see it.
That's the best summary of what happens on this forum with the God-haters that I've seen. It's funny- I could see a thousand threads praising atheism on Free Republic and never feel the need to respond but for some reason, those who hate and reject God simply can't stop themselves from ripping Christians to shreds.
It's simply an amazing thing to behold.
99% of atheists aren't conducting an obsessive campaign to prove that God doesn't exist. Now, there are those on a campaign (obsessive or otherwise) to prove that the paranormal doesn't exist; Penn & Teller with their wonderful show Bullsh!t comes to mind, as well as others such as the Committee For Inquiry (www.csicop.org) and Skeptic Magazine (www.skeptic.com).
They certainly "care" about things such as God, astrology, UFOs, Bigfoot, etc., in the sense they're concerned about the effects that belief in such utter (from their point of view) nonsense has upon society.
Are you asserting that mocking something as absurd as the Creation Museum makes one a "snake in the grass leftist"?
