I had an apartment in Park Slope in the late '60's/early 70's. When I got married and moved out of state I sublet it to my brother -- no money involved. He kept paying the rent in my name, and kept the phone in my (maiden) name -- same first initial as his.

It was common for college kids to move a lot, or to save money by moving in with someone else, and then sublet the old apartment (usually to someone you knew, so you could be sure they'd pay you). Inexpensive apartments were hard to come by in a college area (or a decent neighborhood). It was also common to have a phone that wasn't in your name -- by keeping an existing phone account,  you could avoid paying the security deposit. I remember at one point in the late '60's it was tough even getting a new phone number in NYC, and you might wait weeks to get one hooked up, so existing lines were valuable.

The West Side apartment that he describes living in by himself in the book checks out -- but he had a white roommate he never mentioned. Columbia magazine ran with that after the election, and a NYT  blog picked it up on January 20. (Neither mention how it contradicts the book -- funny how that happens.) The roommate (from Occidental) also says Obama moved into a studio after one semester, not into Siddiqui's East Side apartment as told in "the official narrative of The One."

If you are born in the US you are naturally a citizen. What the founding fathers wanted for the CIC is to be "Natural Born Citizen" being born in the US of parents that are citizens. Meaning both parents are citizens at the time of the child's birth. I could point you to hundreds of references for this but this recent one written by Mario Apuzo is great. http://puzo1.blogspot.com/2009/08/law-of-nations-and-not-english-common.html Also I would like to point out that BHO stated in his book and on Factcheck that he was a British subject at birth and that that "citizenship" expired when he turned 18. What you are suggesting is that somehow "people" checked all this out and found that is was ok! The major problem, and I was guilty myself until I educated myself in these matters, is that these "people" don't understand the Constitution as evident by recent interviews of high ranking congress "people" when asked to define NBC. See post here. The ramifications of knowingly leaving an ineligible person in the Oval office are huge and probably warrant it's own thread. Welcome to Freep and feel free to comment often. You're correct. However there are in fact two doctors on the main birth file--one doctor delivered the baby and one doctor signs the filing. I don't remember anything about the guy who signed the filing and it might very well have been Ang'Awa.

The doctor who delivered is a woman who worked for the British British Colonial Service.
