Trailer: Creation Youve Killed God, Sir
Watching the trailer it looks as if they are trying to give a human face to Darwin that seems a bit hard to imagine. The characters are glorified to the point of sticky-sweet perfection which, of course is Hollywood.
Judging strictly from the trailer, the message seems to be that Darwin's "science" was perfect knowledge and religion is finally unmasked as the true heresy... more of the same but with a pretty bow on top.
The foregone conclusion follows mainstream education in America: that Evolution is science fact and not science theory. All that remains is the nail in God's coffin to make it official.
'Course, you Evo's can start your hollerin' that this is only the trailer and if we misled Christians would just watch it we would understand Chucky D the way you do... We don't already know what the Hollywood spin is??? Strange we would make assumptions about Hollywood based on everything we've seen for the past few decades, but I rekon I will. Umm-Hmmm.

You said — There are reasons why consensus is important.
—
We’ve seen what “consensus” does, when promoted by deception and the *absence of truth* and the *belief in lies*...
We got “President Obama” by a plurality of consensus of about 10 million votes more than the conservative Palin ticket (oh..., and McCain, too...).
That’s “consensus” for you..., in the absence of truth, and with a “pack of lies”... LOL...
You must have faith in the gods of Time and Chance, my son, or you will not receive salvation...or funding.
I have no doubt that there is a *strong correlation* between so-called “scientists” who promote Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) and the so-called “fact” of Evolution....
And we know how reliable they are on AGW, and I’m sure they are just as reliable on the so-called “fact” of Evolution... LOL...
“You must have faith in the gods of Time and Chance, my son, or you will not receive salvation...or funding.”
HA!!!
“Eat your heart out, Evo’s...”
Sound Science doesn’t need Hollywood. “Creation Science” however, needs all the props, smoke, mirrors, and an audience with a gullible and non-inquisitive nature - just like most Hollywood blockbusters.
However, if I were to pick a movie for “Creation Science” types, I submit that “Elmer Gantry” would be a good one.
So . . . . you're saying that when evidence that doesn't fit your worldview is not found, the self-proclaimed scientifically sanctified community agrees on one particular diktat and ridicules all other theories?
If I've got that wrong, could you correct me without using the terms 'paradigm' or 'consensus'?
“In mature scientific fields, absent evidence that cannot be integrated into the existing paradigm, consensus is what is assumed to be, an operates as, truth.”
What gobbledygook.
I’m assuming that since I am interested in creation science that I’m lumped into the immature side since I question macro evolution and I may not necessarily agree with your “existing paradigm”, or “truth”.
BTW, is global warming similarly segregated and which portion of that debate is mature and immature? Oh, that’s right, that’s for another thread. Sorry, I was trying to see where you believe I reside on that issue.
Actually, I'd prefer the ToE faithful stop being so loose with the word 'truth'. Claiming 'consensus' can be accurate if they'd qualify it more like 'ivory tower consensus' or even 'arrogant scientist consensus'.
Certainly there is no human consensus regarding our origins.
“Creation Science however, needs all the props, smoke, mirrors, and an audience with a gullible and non-inquisitive nature - just like most Hollywood blockbusters.”
Thanks so much for helping me understand what a bumbling fool I am for questioning macro evolution. Now, you’ll probably reply “Your welcome.” So let’s move past that now.
Help me further, how did life begin? By accident or intelligent design?
RFEngineer was saying — Sound Science doesnt need Hollywood.

Ummm..., I think he’s talking about “sound-bite science” of Evolution.... LOL...
Sorry, Charlie! Darwin’s dead and he ain’t comin’ back.
The best book I have ever read on the subject of Creation and evolution was titled: “Inspiration verus Evolution” by W.B. Riley, copywrite 1923. [Oh how I wish I had a copy of that book again]
The author included what the consquences would be if evolution was taught as a fact in our public schools and colleges. He said it tended toward athesism, communism, anarchy etc. and now, we have seen it come to pass.
Just a week after the 9-11 tragedy I stopped at a service in N.W. Texas for gas. I gave a tract to the attendant, titled “For God so loved” which gave John 3:16 in many languages. He read the arabic, and came out to confront me.
He asked, “What do you know about Islam?” I answered, not very much,I guess, but I know they go back to God, and Abraham and Ishmael; then to Mohammed, who was a great prophet.”
“But we Christians go back to God, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then on down to Jesus Christ. Who was the Son of God, a great prophet, and the King of Israel, and and the Redeemer, and the Saviour of the world.”
He looked at me as if to say, that is right, I’ve never thought of that.
Yes, God is a Zionist, but He also is the God of all creation, and His Son, Jesus Christ, a Jew,(and He said salvation is of the Jews) is building His Church, and He is present were ever two or three are gathered together in His name.
“Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name given under heaven among men, whereby we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12)
“Him (Jesus) hath God exalted, with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and the forgiveness of sins.”(Acts 5:31)
“And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name.”(Philippians 2:8-9)

I don’t know if this might be it or not, but it was a footnote in an article...

4. W. J. Bryan, Seven Questions in Dispute (New York: Fleming H. Revell, 1924), pp.15354. Bryan states this in his opening speech at the Scopes trial as well. Fundamentalists saw no contradiction between true verifiable science and the Bible. Religion and science are not in conflict with each other, Curtis Lee Laws wrote (Science and Religion, WatchmanExaminer 13 [July 23, 1925]: 941). Since evolution was not factual, but conjecture, it could not be science. See A. C. Dixon, The Whole Christ and the Whole Bible for the Whole World and L. W. Munhall, The Bible and Science, in Scriptural Inspiration Versus Scientific Imagination: Messages Delivered at the Great Christian Fundamentals Conference at Los Angeles, California (Los Angeles: Biola Book Room,1922), pp. 10307, 12129. Both Dixon and Munhall believed that the Bible was scientific since the works of God as stated in scripture are observable and verifiable. Munhall said what most fundamentalists avowed: The Bible is not a textbook for the schools, upon the physical sciences; but, it has not a little to say about the works of God,and what it does say, is said accurately and well, and can always be relied upon (p. 122)

Interesting guy and preacher. I think I’ll be looking up some more stuff about him. He figures prominently, apparently in the liberal/conservative debate (theologically speaking) in the Christian Church (and we can see how that’s going now... ).
I wonder if the evos ever take notice of their multiple hang-up with God brethren?
They ignore algore, Chrissy Fit Matthews and now they have hollyweirdos riding on their backs. Getting more and more difficult to ignore all the fellow liberal lunatics.
And here’s something in Google books...

Consensus was that physicians didn't need to wash their hands and clothes, and they fought the idea with credentials and vigor. Consensus was that stress in life caused stomach ulcers and evidence to the contrary had to overwhelm the nay sayers.
Consensus is the last refuge of the small mind.
This is at least the 2nd liberal moon landing hoax reference to creationism in as many days I’ve seen.
I guess it must be because the 40 year anniversary is Monday. Quite naturally the liberal cultist blogs, pseudo-news are parroting the same failed tired tripe and it gets picked up and regurgitated ad nauseum.
Not a single brain cell firing apparently that alerts the liberals that there simply is no comparison...Metmom has graciously educated the liberal loons time and again here that the vast majority of most groups embrace intelligence and design in science.
If any thing a more accurate analogy would be the moon landing hoax crowd are more likely to be evos and the numbers show it.
“Let me help”?
Ummmm parroting failed cultist tripe isn’t “helping” anyone except perhaps making you appear to be a fool!
And as far as dentists and engineers...how about across the board!

If you with to discuss climate change, we can do so on another thread.
In other words grey whiskers, the cult of evolution is somehow above your obvious observations!.
Stormer isn't willing to see AGW isn't the subject, rather consensus is, and this is why he has to deflect your keen observations and suggest discussing AGW on another thread.
As predictable as the sun coming up.
“Help me further, how did life begin? By accident or intelligent design?”
Start a thread on that, and I’ll participate.
