OK, I confess, the title is a bit misleading.
It should read Obama And His Lack Of A Birth Certificate Is About To Make History.
Yesterday, World Net Daily broke the story of Army Major Stefan Cook, who argued that he should not have to deploy to Afghanistan because President Obama has not proven that he is a natural-born citizen, therefore he is unable to serve as Commander-In-Chief.
This is something that will receive little, if any, coverage from the mainstream media.
However, the fact that the U.S. Army revoked the orders of a soldier about to be sent overseas based wholly upon such a claim is unprecedented.
This controversy over Obama’s failure to produce a valid birth certificate has been an ongoing saga.
And all calls for him to do so have either been belittled or ignored by the White House. Which may lead some folks to suspect that the reason he doesn’t simply produce the blasted thing and put this story to rest once and for all is because he doesn’t have one!
About the only attention we have seen regarding this issue was the presentation of a “Certificate Of Live Birth” supposedly issued by the State of Hawaii.
This proves less than nothing, as first, to look at it you would think that a 12-year old made it on their home computer, and secondly is the fact that a child does not have to be born in Hawaii in order for the state to issue such a document to the child’s parents.
Even if this document is legitimate, it is a far cry from an actual birth certificate, and it surely is not proof of where Obama was actually born.
However , there are literally thousands of articles and opinions floating around about Obama’s birth certificate, or lack therof, and I don’t want to bore you with re-visiting the same stories.
Rather, I would like to expound on my claim that Obama’s lack of a birth certificate will make history. Consider the following:
If indeed it is proven that Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen, and therefore is unable to serve as President, he will not be remembered as America’s first black President, rather history will remember him as the man who was the cause of the biggest Constitutional crisis this country has ever seen!
The question will be raised of what will happen to other troops deployed by Obama, and the troops already serving under orders from an ineligible commander in chief.
Every piece of legislation that Obama has signed since taking office would now be considered under law to be null and void.
Imagine what this would mean to the stock market, financial institutions, the auto industry, as well as every other facet of the American economy.
Not to mention, the people who already accuse the president’s critics of being racists will no doubt try to use this as their proof and stoke racial tensions to the point of riot.
Every appointment he has made, regardless if it was an appointment as a “Czar’, or a Cabinet-level position, would have to be overturned, and it would become the duty of the Vice-President to re-fill those positions.
Which leads to perhaps the most intriguing scenario of all.
The Constitution states that if the President is unable to serve, the Vice-President shall assume the duties of the office.
However, if the man who chose you to be his running mate was found to have been elected to the office in violation of Constitutional law, where does that leave you Mr. Biden?
After all, we (well, some of you poor misguided individuals) voted for the two of you as a team running on the same ticket.
So if it is found that the man who picked you to be his running mate did so in direct violation of federal law, doesn’t it follow that you were also elected to the Vice-Presidency under false pretenses?

When the U.S. military accepts the claim of a soldier that the man posing as Commander-In-Chief has failed to produce his eligibility to hold that title, we may be on the verge of seeing change beyond belief.
Me? I'd like to see the State of Hawaii verify his status.

His COLB states he was born in Honolulu. Are you saying that is a fake? Or that he got a witness to sign that he was born at home?

Someone has done the research on the law in Hawaii that allowed an American citizen and resident of Hawaii to obtain a COLB for a child born on foreign soil, but that would list Hawaii as the birthplace (citizenship purposes? I don’t know).
You may have to do a search of Freep to find it, or one of your fellow Freepers currently on this thread may know the law off the top of their heads.
Haven’t found anything pertaining to it on Hammond’s (Secretary Of State) web-site but remember that his office (after the election) did say they were considering asking for proof of citizenship (apparently they didn’t have it at that time). Nothing, as far as I know, ever came of it.
I would also like to know how Róger Calero (born 1969 in Nicaragua), Socialist Workers Party got on the ballot in CT, DE, MN, NJ, NY, & VT when he was clearly not a citizen.
If we do not safeguard our election process we will no longer be able to choose our candidates.

It depends on how you look at it. One current of thought calls for all illegal actions to be rolled back. That includes orders, bills, appointments, deployments, etc. all the way back to the inauguration. That was also an illegal act the moment he was administered the oath.
If the inauguration did not happen, Biden is not the Vice President and therefore cannot be in the line of succession.
Also, are you sitting down for this one? If the inauguration is ruled illegal, Bush is the president, still in his second term. Boy would that stir the pot wild ;-)
In point of fact, there has been nothing ever offered to prove he was born, anywhere. And all the pertinent data of his torsy has been scrubbed from all around the world so that what passport he traveled on in 1980, what he used as his nationality for entry and college money, his ... well, you should get the gist by now. Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Obama, aka Barry Dunham, aka Barry Soetoro is a proven liar and is counting on duping Americans to accept him as an affirmative action hire not required to meet Constitutional muster, just because the democrat aprty demands it.
I think people are starting to smell blood now, it will only snowball at this point and once some politicians feel that 0bama is on his heels thats when it will get real interesting. At that point nothing will stop this.

Seriously though, you are missing the point. We have a glaring omission in the legal system. All stipulations in the constitution have a backing in the legal code. All states have laws on how to deal with illegal searches and seizures for example, or taking of private property.
However there is no provision in the federal election laws that specify how the natural born clause is to be enforced. This does not mean that one can ignore it. In this case it means it is up to the individual to ensure that he is a natural-born citizen. That's what happened here. Obama implied (because he has not made a statement yet) to the American people that he is a natural-born citizen.
Like all matters under the law, aggrieved parties can challenge the state of affairs in court. There is nothing wrong with that. Any American citizen affected by Obama's decisions has the right - in my humble opinion - to bring a challenge in court to his election. Astoundingly, the courts do not think so.
I would be happy to see a judge say: Where is your evidence? Sorry, too flimsy, not worth violating the president's right to privacy. I would still not like it but it would be more sound.
This whole issue is not about whether you or I believe he is qualified. It's about a process that is missing, should be there, and its absence is causing people like me, you, and your correspondence partner - which you so callously likened to Rosie - to waste far too much time on!!!

Translation: The Constitution Defenders are sooooo "nutty" and paranoid that no amount of evidence would satisfy them, so why should Obama bother?
This is a variation of the "Nut and Slut" argument presented in the form of a seemingly innocent question.
I have seen this DNC talking point numerous times in attempts to defend Obama. But....Woodyman ( who joined today) is befuddled that I would think he defending Obama.( post #483 and #487) Geeze! Imagine that!
