Can I pick and chose which laws and Constitutional laws I get to follow?

If Obama’s crowd doesn’t want to follow the Constitutional law requiring Citizenship; then I want to skip the Constitutional law on paying taxes.

If he can pick and chose which laws he follows, then we all get to do the same.

We should all follow Major Cook’s example and refuse to pay taxes that are the result of bills signed into law by Soetoro. In fact, any law signed by Soetoro should be ignored by Americans.

I’m just about ready to challenge this fraud in court, thru refusal to pay taxes. The publicity of going to jail as a prisoner of conscience might be worth it.

PLEASE folks -—

What do you think the primary duty of the FEC is?

It has NOTHING to do with qualifications, it is mostly in charge of campaign finance rules, and also the UNCONSTITUIONAL McCain Fiengold rules.

"Actually, there is nothing in the Constitution that would prohibit a sitting President from being arrested, by any law enforcement officer."

That's right. I believe at least one president (Pierce) haa been arrested. This was for what one might describe as pedestrian crime - literally - hit someone with his horse or carriage. But the charge was later dropped - I think.

Arresting a person who happens to be the President is one matter. Removing he/she from office, is another matter altogether. That can only be accomplished by Congress.

Yeah; sad....no one has “Standing” according to the Courts, and of course no Judge is willing to risk his seat or his life by ruling otherwise (so far).

It is written in the Constitution that the solution to a government such as we have now is through a tax revolt. That is in black and white. Most people have no balls and wont follow through with it, and if a few individuals such as you and I would engage in it, they would make bloody examples of us. But, if half the people in the US would stand behind it, we could crush them in no time flat. The problem is that the gross majority of people are employees and their taxes are WITHHELD, and if the companies wont go along with it, then a few individuals cant win it by themselves. This is what the socialists are counting on. We could starve that beast in short order if people would organize and agree to it. The commie bastards cant jail us all.

Basically, with the party. The party, in turn, obtains ballot access in the state. Voters vote for ELECTORS, not for president and VP.
::::::::
OK, let’s assume your logic is correct. Then WHO broke the law besides Obama? How about the FEDERAL ELECTIONS COMMISSION? Do they not have responsibility and oversight of Federal elections? And of course, the DNC. Well, we know enough about the DNC to write them off as criminal anyway. So who stands, in terms of legal oversight and responsibility, between a candidate and the law of the Constitution?

In Oklahoma the paperwork is filed with the State Election Board to get on the ballot for Presidential candidates. I was there for the filing in the last election. You pay the filing fee and file the paperwork. There has been no requirement in the past to provide proof as the candidate certifies they meet the requirements.

By 2012, OK will have a bill in place to require all Presidential candidates to provide certified proof of their birth certificate to prove their right to to be on the ballot in Oklahoma.

Didn’t know that about Cleaver. But check out Roger Calero, presidential nominee of the Socialist Workers Party in 2004 and 2008: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%B3ger_Calero This commie not only is not a natural-born citizen, he’s not even a *naturalized* citizen (he’s a Nicaraguan with a green card). He was denied access in a number of states because of his ineligibity for the presidency, and the SWP ran another guy in those states.

McCain sure wasn't my first, my second, or my third choice.

However, blaming this mess on the Republican Party is a stretch and you need to get over such overreaching hot air.

McCain sucked as a candidate, but he still would have won if not for the financial melt down, caused by Democrat mortgage rules which forced lenders to make bad loans.

McCain and the Republican Party had no ability to force all of the individual States to “Vet” Obama, especially since much of that “vetting” was done by the Democrat Party, not the State Election Officer, where Caucus States are concerned.

You need to get out of the circular firing squad and start looking for ways to USE this issue to our advantage.

Individual States need to pass legislation demanding a certified copy of the Birth Certificate, for PUBLIC inspection, from any candidate who wishes to obtain Delegates for any Party Convention, or any candidate who wishes to obtain electors from any State.

I have known this since last July. I called and asked specifically what their procedure was for verifying the eligibility for a presidential candidate and they said it wasn’t their responsibility and the onus was on “Congress” to do it.

If he said that to you, he was wrong.

Every State can determine, for itself, within legal guidelines, who is granted ballot access or who may be rewarded delegates or electors from that State.

You need to call him on his ignorance or his lies.

-- How about the FEDERAL ELECTIONS COMMISSION? --

The function of that body pertains to campaign finance and the like. They handled a formal complaint in Sept/Nov 2008, as to the quality of evidence for qualification of Obama, they turned the matter away, and IIRC, were sued in Federal Court. Ultimate outcome (and the correct one) is that it's not their job to check the qualifications for party candidates.

-- who stands, in terms of legal oversight and responsibility, between a candidate and the law of the Constitution? --

For qualification to be president, the Congress is the body who has standing to challenge the qualifications of the person voted for by the electors.

It is NOT A STATE ISSUE....IT IS A FEDERAL ISSUE.

******

As I understand it, when a presidential candidate signs his routine eligibility form to run in primaries in each state, we the public have 1 to 5 days to challenge the eligibility of the candidate.

1. So I say this: We must be ready in 2011 and 2012 to challenge presidential candidate Obama when he signs his eligibility application before each primary in each state, because we only have 1 to 5 days to challenge Obama.

2. My point is this: Challenging presidential candidates in that 1 to 5 day window is a state function and not a federal function.

3. 2010 elections: Come to think of it, we should challenge candidates for Senator and Representative throughout the country as to their age and citizenship eligibility by asking them to present their long form birth certificates.

4. If the 2010 candidates don't want to provide their long form birth certificates for legal or personal reasons, then I say that we simply tell them that we won't vote for them.
