The thought of Waxman, Markey and Rangel riding their bicycles 28 miles from west Harris County to downtown Houston in today's temperatures (my thermometer says 102 deg. right now) just warms the cockles of my heart. I'd ride alongside them on the Katy Freeway in my air-conditioned car, point at them and just laugh and laugh.

Problem is, they (the "Elites") will be laughing at US instead. Don't they usually exempt themselves from the stuff that they're "too good for"?

“If they do this I don’t know what the hell I am going to do.”

We’re going to pray that the stupid liberals/independents who put this guy in office wake up and vote at least the House out of office in 2010 so that this monstrosity can be repealed.

I cannot imagine being asked in an official capacity to vote for or against something that I had not only not read, but also do not actually have AND CANNOT GET in such a time as is reasonable to expect me to read it.

This bill’s AMENDED sections have not been read on the floor.

These people should be fired. Even for asking its status.

What a circus this congress is turning into.

It’s not congress it’s vaudeville!

someone needs to explain to the libtards - that no matter how powerful they think the messiah is - he cannot repeal the laws of physics with hope and change

Kudos to Ted Poe. He said exactly the line I was thinking, “This bill is about control,” and delivered it very well.

"American Clean Energy and Security Act"

A complete bastardization of the language.

Yeppers. Just called Sam Farr (D-United Nations). He is still "reviewing the legislation" but is really happy I called. (No kidding - he has a baby blue UN flag outside his office in Washington.)

Oh I’ll just have to work harder and longer hours to maintain the status of living I have right now, what else is new?

Or, screw ‘em, maybe I won’t.
