A homeless man is on trial in San Mateo County on charges that he smacked a fellow transient in the face with a skateboard as the victim was engaged in a conversation about quantum physics, authorities said today.

Does the molecular structure of Thunderbird change on the quantum level when exposed to Night Train molecules and is there a built in redundancy to compensate for quantum flux?

Well hey, I saw this happen one time in grad school.

/No, not really

Probably one of those String Theory whackjobs. They get pretty passionate when they’re half in the bag.

Do they still make Thunderbird?

A bad study of “Fling Theory”

I am not surprised. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about the homeless knows that they are very passionate about their physics. The dirty little secret is that most Ph.D.s in Physics become homeless after completing their dissertation defense.

He decided to collapse the wave function. probably saying something like “speed? about 20 miles per hour in my swing. Position? Right upside your head!

parsy, who is often uncertain

After we came out of the church, we stood talking for some time together of Bishop Berkeley's ingenious sophistry to prove the nonexistence of matter, and that every thing in the universe is merely ideal. I observed, that though we are satisfied his doctrine is not true, it is impossible to refute it. I never shall forget the alacrity with which Johnson answered, striking his foot with mighty force against a large stone, till he rebounded from it -- "I refute it thus." --Boswell: Life ============================= Similarly: "Thus I refute Quantum Mechanics." --The Skateboard Perp

Put me on the jury. This guy is innocent. Physics is important stuff and it is only natural that you will get excited once in awhile.

As to the Night Train - Thunderbird question the answer is no. However a similar phenomenon has been seen in the collision of Two Buck Chuck ions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (before it crashed of course.)

Night train is like alcoholic antimatter. The implications of mixing it with wild irish rose are too horrible to contemplate.

This is precisely why I avoid any conversation dealing with quantum physics.

"Hey man...all the possibilities described by quantum theory simultaneously occur in a "multiverse" composed of mostly independent parallel universes. This is not accomplished by introducing some new axiom to quantum mechanics, but on the contrary by removing the axiom of the collapse of the wave packet, All the possible consistent states of the measured system and the measuring apparatus (including the observer) are present in a real physical (not just formally mathematical, as in other interpretations) quantum superposition. (Such a superposition of consistent state combinations of different systems is called an entangled state.)

While the multiverse is deterministic, we perceive non-deterministic behavior governed by probabilities, because we can observe only the universe, i.e. the consistent state contribution to the mentioned superposition, we inhabit. Everett's interpretation is perfectly consistent with John Bell's experiments and makes them intuitively understandable."

I've heard of Transient Ischemic Attacks before but this is ridiculous.
