I wonder if Mr. Bush will use a prompter?

Regardless of what Bush says, it will piss 0 off, as the once again the focus will shift from what he order the media to say to what Bush will talk about.

Condie Rice to be speaken there also this year.
This club gets some of the biggest names to speak at it. My later-former father-in-law was a member of it and when I asked him how they got the speakers, he said that it was due to a well placed source in D.C.

He has always been a terrible speaker. I don’t think it’s going to go well for him.

Is Obama going to make sure he speaks first?

Great. Mr. "I abandoned the Free Market to save it" is going to add his $.02.

God, save us from these people.

I was never a great Bush fan, but the words from an Chasidic song are ringing in my ears:
We need a leader like Moses ...

Bush certainly has the right to speak out but I'd say to him “hey,Cheney’s doing a pretty fine job.Silence is your best policy...at least for now.”

After months of silence...

Yeah, like 96 months of silence.

On balance I like George Bush on a number of levels, but it is almost unforgivable that George Bush almost totally ceded the pulpit to the left. He never stood up for himself or conservative values and polices. He didn't really keep the country on board with the war, and almost totally abandoned leadership. That abandonment lead to a vacuum which the hard left and the corrupt MSM gladly filled...for 8 long years. Like a child throwing a tantrum in the backseat of a car on a long trip, voters were more than eager to dump Republicans to stop the cacophony of shrieking liberals throwing a national tantrum.

Tonight he’ll speak to to the Economic Club of Southwest Michigan at Lake Michigan College.

Goodness...is this a joke? Economics???? How to spend money and lots of it?

It'll probably be about the economy and the socialist serfdom Obama wishes to impose. But I don't really expect this to be too blistering.

Bush will say nothing. Despite being relentlessly pummeled, he will say nothing to defend himself, his policies, or his principles. That seems to be his M.O.

W doesn't know squat about economics, but who knew Southwest Michigan has an economic club?

From the get-go, one thing that bothers me about this, is the fact that Bush will be on stage with Bill Clinton. All that does is provide more stature to Bill Clinton.

Appointing him to represent the United States with GHWB regarding the disaster relief in Southern Asia, was also a massive mistake. It more than anything else before or since, to rehab Bill Clinton, after his despicable behavior in office. “Why if those Republicans think he’s swell, he must be a really great guy.”

Damn if it isn’t embarrassing to see people you would like to respect, be so G D stupid.

Appearing with Clinton will also hobble Bush so that he can’t be frank about Obama’s actions. What’s he going to do, stand up there and be frank about Obama, only to have Clinton state that “those comment’s” were political and unfortunate?

My take on these two speeches is that Bush will deliver platitudes, blow kisses and try his best to be liked.

Where he does talk about Obama, if at all, he’ll make nice and contrast Cheney as a mean old man without realizing it.

Please let me be proven wrong, but my take is, “Bush, clueless to the end.”

Former President George W. Bush may finally upstage Dick Cheney this week.

I seriously doubt it. He'll compliment Obama and Clinton I'll bet.
