Homosexuals more likely to molest kids, study reports

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP)--A social researcher who has studied sexual behavior for 24 years believes the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has sound reasons for maintaining its prohibition against gay scoutmasters.

A homosexual cannot automatically be considered a child molester, said Judith Reisman, president of the Institute for Media Education in suburban Louisville, Ky.

But with 17-24 percent of boys being abused by age 18, nearly as many as the 25 percent of girls, there is cause for concern, she said.

Since heterosexuals outnumber the homosexual population about 44 to 1, as a group the incidence of homosexuals molesting children is up to 40 times greater than heterosexuals, she said.

"You're looking at a much higher rate of abuse," said Reisman, a former university research professor who recently completed a study titled, "Crafting Gay Children." "The Department of Justice just released data and the rate of abuse are off the charts."

BSA's policy has been the subject of constant attacks from gay activists, who have convinced a number of school boards to oust the Scouts from board property.

In a story that aired Apr. 1 on CBS, "60 Minutes" also questioned its validity. After California congressman Dana Rohrabacher called the prohibition common sense, reporter Lesley Stahl remarked that common sense turns out to be a myth.

According to the FBI and several clinical studies published in reputable journals, gay men aren't more likely to sexually abuse boys, she said.

"In fact, the largest database of child molesters in the country shows that those who molest boys are over three times more likely to be heterosexual in their adult relationships than homosexual," she said.

But Reisman points to figures from a 1991 population study by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

It showed that 8 million girls were abused by age 18 by heterosexual men, a ratio of 1 victim to 11 adult men. However, 6-8 million boys were abused by age 18 by 1-2 million adult homosexuals, a ratio of 3-5 victims for every gay adult.

Spokesman Kevin Tedesco said "60 Minutes" staffers spoke with leading sources of information on child molestation, including the FBI, American Psychological Association and several clinical researchers.

The database was assembled by psychologist Dr. Gene Able, director of the Behavioral Sciences Institute in Atlanta, he added.

However, Reisman also cites a past study by Able to bolster her contention that BSA has reason to fear admitting homosexuals to the scoutmaster ranks. It found that 150 boys are abused by one male homosexual offender, compared to 19.8 girls by heterosexual offenders.

In a study published in 1987 in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Able said homosexuals sexually molest young boys with an incidence five times greater than the molestation of girls. (Calls to Able seeking further comment were not returned.)

"We looked at the leading gay travel guide," Reisman said of her research. "Forty-seven percent of the 139 nations they talked about identified places to find boys. The average heterosexual travel guide is not concerned with finding children."

Crime statistics also pose concerns. Figures released last summer by the Justice Department reveal that adults are not the primary victims of sexual assault, she said.

They showed that 67 percent of all reported sex abuse victims are children and 64 percent of forcible sodomy victims are boys under 12.

Two analysts with Washington-based, pro-family organizations agree that homosexuals pose a greater risk to boys.

Tim Daily of the Family Research Council questioned "60 Minutes" claim that adults who molest boys can even be called heterosexual.

"I guess you determine someone's sexual orientation by their relationships," said Dailey, who wrote a paper on pedophilia in the fall of 1999.

"If a man is married and has sexual relations with boys, he's obviously a combination. To say he's heterosexual is an outrage. Overall he's a pedophile. Whether you call it omni-sexual or pan-sexual, he's indiscriminate...in relationships."

"Who cares if a guy is married?" echoed Peter LaBarbera, senior policy analyst for the Culture and Policy Institute, a division of Concerned Women of America. "If he's into molesting boys, that's homosexual behavior. It's academic nonsense to talk about these people as heterosexuals."

Editor of the monthly Lambda Report, LaBarbera has been following the homosexual movement for a decade. He said it is disproportionately involved in pedophilia, as shown by the large number of males among sexual abuse victims.

"The homosexual movement is shameless," he said. "Gay activists are the ones who are trying to bring down (the Boy Scouts), a venerated institution which has very little to do with sexuality. They're making it seem those who are against homosexuals are the problem."

Among the reasons Dailey cited for being concerned about the potential for homosexual molestation of boys:

-- Almost all sex crimes against children are committed by men and significant numbers of victims are males. In 1996, the journal Adolescence reported several studies indicate that up to one-third of all sex crimes against children are committed against boys.

-- Even homosexual activists don't try to hide the connection with pedophilia. In The Gay Report -- a book published back in 1979 -- authors Karla Jay and Allen Young found that 73 percent of those surveyed had had sexual relations with males 16 to 19 or younger.

-- A 1999 article in the Journal of Homosexuality by Helmut Graupner argued that same-sex relations with minors should be considered a gay rights issue. The article argued that children wouldn't necessarily be harmed by sexual contact with adults.

This debate flared up in New Jersey when a column by Toni Meyer, senior research analyst with the New Jersey Family Policy Council, appeared in several newspapers around the state.

Citing Reisman's research, she wrote, "We must speak up in support of the Boy Scouts to our community leaders and not allow them to be unfairly and unethically pressured to go against their standards.

"To allow them to be denied the support they need or public privileges they are entitled because of that stance would be a total disservice to, and a potentially dangerous decision, for society and our local communities."

That brought an angry response from New York's Glennda Testone, northern regional media manager for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

"The incorrect stereotype of the gay man as a pedophile is one that has been medically and scientifically debunked," she said. "Heterosexual men were responsible for 74 percent of assaults on male victims and 77 percent of assaults on female victims, according to an American Academy of Pediatrics study (July 1994)."

However, Meyer says those statistics only prove her point -- a small number of the population is responsible for 26 percent of the assaults on boys.

"She overlooks there are a lot more heterosexuals than homosexuals," Meyer told Baptist Press. "People don't understand. You have to balance these numbers by overall population to see there's a greater incidence of abuse by gay men."

This “study” was funded by a $2 million grant from the Department of Homosexual Sensitivity and Dairy Queen Corporation.

I believe it was the early Romans who prohibited several classes of people from holding public office: Those of illegitimate birth (bastards), eunuchs and homosexuals.

While these children had no choice in the matter, bastards were prohibited because, having no sense of their family past or history, they could not be trusted to operate for the good of the culture based on its history or traditions.

Eunuchs (castrated males) and homosexuals because they could not and/or would not sire children and would, therefore, most likely have no abiding interest in preserving the culture for future generations.

While there are a number of exceptions, I’ll let YOU tell me what sort of folks we have in public office HERE.

I suspect America has employed technology to compress into slightly over 240 years what it took the Romans over 2,000 to achieve — total and utter collapse.

While channel-surfing recently, I stopped for a moment on an Animal Planet show featuring two lesbian roommates. And, no, they were NOT in the bedroom. As I watched them, I began pondering the question of the growing impact of homosexuals and radical feminists on our culture.

None of these thoughts are original to me and all have been written about and discussed ad nauseam. This little rant is really an exercise in catharsis.

At the individual level, I have personally known a few homosexuals and, in general, have found them to be quiet, respectful and intelligent. There are exceptions – such as the moron homo cited below — but I haven’t personally met them and probably won’t.

Having said that, I fear that the homosexual – and the recent politically correct fervor to further legitimize that lifestyle – has done irreparable harm to our NATIONAL life and what remains of what many of us still call Western European Culture. When that impact is coupled with the rise of radical feminism, the product is a result from which the West may never recover.
Allow me to explain:

The simple physiological fact is that homosexuals CANNOT reproduce. The current population replacement rate – the rate necessary to maintain the current native born population level — for the United States is somewhere north of 2 children per couple. Homosexuals don’t HAVE kids. Add the radical feminist impact – which holds that motherhood is some form of slavery and has driven many women to seek “fulfillment” OUTSIDE the home — and the current birth rate here is disturbingly FAR BELOW 2.1 per couple.

The other side of the demographic coin is that the virtually unrestrained immigration policies of past administrations have brought a huge influx of people from cultures radically different from that which existed here prior to the advent of PC, diversity, tolerance and all the other names by which many now call these self, nation and culture destroying behaviors. Add the millions and millions of illegals who are now placing such a physical and economic burden on the healthcare and school systems that natural born citizens are being taxed to death and/or cannot, themselves, get the services to which they would otherwise be entitled and it’s a recipe for chaos. And the politicians – who hope these new welfare recipients will support their perpetual reelection — turn a blind eye.

And as these groups agitate and campaign for THEIR particular flavor of diversity and tolerance, they also give added traction to virtually EVERY OTHER flavor. As they change millions of minds and cause others to reconsider long-standing and time-tested value systems, they are turning our world upside down.

The effect of these factors is that the America in which many of us older folks grew up is disappearing at an alarming rate. As the nation many of us came to love – and donned uniforms to defend – drifts toward some sort of Balkanized
Despotism, large segments of these new arrivals – who know little and care less of the traditions, values and history of this place and even refuse to learn the common tongue — separate themselves into ghetto-like enclaves where outsiders are often not welcomed unless they’re spending money. We run the very serious risk of repeating the experiences of the former Yugoslavia from which some of my people came.

Speaking of whom, my great-great grandparents waited for years then stood in long lines at Ellis Island to be deloused, interrogated and told they had to learn English and our history and traditions and pass a test – something the Hispanics and radical Muslim terrorists strolling across the border with Mexico don’ t have to do.

The Clinton administration – well known for its tolerance of the gay lifestyle – published some statistics in connection with AIDS that startled many. Of course, the PC then rearing its ugly head prohibited all but the brave from commenting on any of that.

The CDC statistics showed that 85% of all AIDS/HIV cases are
1. Active, non-monogamous homosexuals,
(the largest subset)
2. Heterosexuals and bisexuals who have had sex with group 1 and
3. IV drug abusers who share needles.
(Kinda gives new meaning to Romans 6:23, doesn’t it?)
The remaining 15% are those who have contracted AIDS via other,
non-sexual/non-drug means SUCH AS TRANSFUSIONS OF TAINTED BLOOD (which one homosexual “leader” on the West Coast URGED his fellow homosexuals to CONTINUE to attempt to contaminate in order to involve the straight community in the push to increase federal funding for AIDS research).

So, with the population replacement rate practically down to zero, we have the “leaders” of the homosexual community – who can do nothing to help raise that rate – encouraging their members to make ill or kill those of us who have and/or are having and raising kids here.

I find it fascinating that many members of the homosexual community and the radical feminists are on the front line of the assault on traditional values and seek to replace them with more tolerance, diversity and other politically correct nonsense. They have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

While their activities have produced short-term benefits for them, that diversity, tolerance and egalitarianism have also opened the door to the idea that no culture is “better” than any other. Obama – apparently having confused Chicago with America — spent days recently apologizing to everyone he met for our defective, decadent and corrupt culture.

And that has brought to our shores a formerly foreign culture, the more radical elements of which are breeding at a rate well in excess of the rate among the indigenous population.

And, just as it already has in Great Britain and continental Europe, with those increasing numbers will come increased political and social power.

And with that will surely come a foreign theology and law system.

And that foreign theology – that’s be Islam— and law system – that’s be Sharia — DOES NOT TOLERATE HOMOSEXUALITY and regards WOMEN AS CHATTEL WHO HAVE NO PERSONAL RIGHTS LET ALONE THE SORT OF FREEDOM TO WHICH THE FEMINISTS ARE ACCUSTOMED.

The bottom line, gays and ladies?
You will:
1. fall under the headsman’s sword and/or
2. be confined to the house unless your man wants to take you somewhere, but only if you are garbed from head to toe. Did I mention that a man can probably rape and/or kill you and suffer no penalty?

So there you have it.

I’d urge you to think about these things while there MIGHT still be time to alter course.

PS: I had to get this out of my system BEFORE the new, improved congress passes the pending legislation making it a crime to post ANYTHING on the web that could in any way cause ANYONE emotional distress. Would it matter that it was factual? Nope! While it’s probable that the Supremes will rule it a violation of the First Amendment, I’d rather not squander my kids’ small inheritance on lawyers bringing the case.
