Montana Governor Signs New Gun Law
Executive Summary - The USA state of Montana has signed into power a revolutionary gun law. I mean REVOLUTIONARY.
The State of Montana has defied the federal government and their gun laws. This will prompt a showdown between the federal government and the State of Montana. The federal government fears citizens owning guns. They try to curtail what types of guns they can own. The gun control laws all have one common goal - confiscation of privately owned firearms.

Federal courts have used an extremely broad interpretation of the Commerce clause in other cases. If the iron for the steel wasn’t mined in Montana, it would have to be shipped in, therefore the guns are subject to regulation by the Federal government under the Commerce clause.
There are copper and platinum mined in Montana, but not iron.

It’d be great to get a wide swath of states from MT down to TX. This would cut off the west coast states. Sweet!!

Cant have everything. Im not expecting California or Hawaii to secede anytime soon.
I'm not sure about Hawaii, but California will someday secede to join Mexico.

Baucus and Tester FWIW are both strong defenders of the Second Amendment. Other than that, there’s no use for them. Schweitzer only supports this legislation because he’s gun owner and sport hunter himself and gets a A+ rating from the NRA. Tester was unrated, but Baucus has consistently gotten C ratings from the NRA.

“Im moving to the first state that secedes.”
As am I. I don’t believe the nation will heal itself this time. The Czech Republic and Slovakia separated peacefully; perhaps the USSA could do the same.

It is convoluted but it is also "the law".
It may be "the law", but it is also illegal, i.e. in violation of the Constitution - of which Montana apparently has a few well-thumbed copies.
Any tyrant can enact a law. Whether it'll stand enforcement is another question.

Good point. Probably need to ratchet up my paranoia about three clicks. You know what they say: “The question is not ‘Are you paranoid?’. It’s ‘Are you paranoid ENOUGH?’”

Baucus has consistently screwed the people in Montana by voting for legislation that directly takes away the rights of every Montana citizen, but he has been able to destroy his opponents with the help of the MSM.
Talk about dirty politics, this guy make Obama look like a Sunday school teacher in comparison. How do you think he could last so long?

Any significance to the 2.4 meg resistor? Maybe 300 meg (orange, black, violet) would be more appropriate.
Yes I know I’m a tech nerd who needs to get out more...

“I am not aware of any real blue steel weapons foundries in Montana.”
Isn’t Illinois threatening to kick firearms factories out?
If Montana secedes and “everybody” wants to move there there will have to be jobs...currently, isn’t the population 700K or so? adding 40K to that means people with no work, unless some industries move in.

Interesting that Montanas Governor is a Democrat. The drive-bys jumped all over Rick Perry in Texas when he did this. The linked story does not even mention their Governor by name. Could it be the Governor has nothing to do with this?

If Montana succeeds then all the guns will be coming from the United States (unless they get some cool Israeli models on import)

Go look on Drudge and see the blurb under the picture in the middle of the top part....it’s a link to a story that will give you a link to a PDF of the lexicon (dictionary) that the DHS has just released. This is just the first part of the harassment. They are already tracking code words using the system they previously used for proponents causing the need for “overseas contingency operations.”

Goldman-Sachs Max hasn’t represented this state in years. The people he would represent best live in New York City or Hollywood, CA.
