Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

There is no documented proof that Seamus EVER voted for Romney...
That dog knew Romney best...
If Seamus wouldnt vote for Romney...
Why would we ???

"But the details of the event are more than unseemly they may, in fact, be illegal.
Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws specifically prohibit anyone
from carrying an animal "in or upon a vehicle, or otherwise, in an unnecessarily cruel
or inhuman manner or in a way and manner which might endanger the
animal carried thereon." An officer for the Massachusetts Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded to a description of the situation
saying "it's definitely something I'd want to check out." The officer,
Nadia Branca, declined to give a definitive opinion on whether Romney broke the law
but did note that it's against state law to have a dog in an open bed of a pick-up truck,
and "if the dog was being carried in a way that endangers it, that would be illegal."
"Dog on Roof? What Was It Like for Romney's Pooch?
Scientists Say Dog Likely Experienced Wind-Whipped, Uncomfortable Trip
"Before beginning the drive, Mitt Romney put Seamus, the family's hulking Irish setter,
in a dog carrier and attached it to the station wagon's roof rack.
e'd built a windshield for the carrier, to make the ride more comfortable for the dog," read the article.
Jordan Kaplan, the owner of Petaholics, a dog walking service in New York City,
and a lifelong dog owner and dog lover, said Romney's actions were uncalled for.
....What Happens to a Dog on a Roof Traveling 50 MPH?"
"Romney's dog - This is a distinction Mitt Romney probably could do without, but he is surely
the first presidential candidate to be attacked for putting a dog with diarrhea
in a carrier and tying it to the top of a station wagon.
Romney's defense: Seamus liked it. "He scrambled up there every time we went on trips,"
the Republican said during a campaign stop in Pittsburgh. "He got in all by himself and enjoyed it."
"As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon,
keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble.
''Dad!'' he yelled. ''Gross!'' A brown liquid was dripping down the back window,
payback from an Irish setter who'd been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.
As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust,
Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station.
There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car,
then hopped back onto the highway."

...but the man supports abortion - - how do you reconcile that with your beliefs? [Revelation 911]
Thats a lie. He realized he was wrong and has been pro-life for years. [NYC Republican]
On January 29, 2007 during a visit to South Carolina, Romney stated: Over the last multiple years, as you know, I have been effectively pro-choice." (Bruce Smith, "Romney Campaigns in SC with Sen. DeMint," The Associated Press, 1/29/07)
Ya wanna explain, NYC Republican how the above statement reconciles with your contention that Romney's "been pro-life for years?" (What? Are you going to try to get by with a "technicality" by claiming, "Well, isn't two years a plural?")
But where was he on the sanctity of life just 18 months ago? Look, for example, within two sentences on Dec. 5, 2007. He told Katie Couric:
(a) embryos could be adopted; and then
(b) in the very next sentence, he suggested a "parent" could also "donate" Johnny, Jr. or Plain Jane to "research" for dissection purposes, which he said was "acceptable."
(So much for this very matter--embryonic stem cell issue--being the "heart" of his "pro-life conversion.")
If somone claims that Romney made a "second" pro-life altar call after his guv role was over -- given his Jan '07 statement that Over the last multiple years, as you know, I have been effectively pro-choice," could you please explain how that could be reconciled with his other claim around that same time? (The claim that "every action I've taken as the governor that relates to the sanctity of human life...") How could BOTH statements be true?

You have heard the term “Dog Years”
Those are “Mitt Years”...
I think it’s based on election cycles and location...

Id be willing to bet that if Jim Robinson did a poll on this, the majority of FReepers would be on the other side...We are making a list, and, when 2012 campaign time rolls around (Ooops! It's already HERE for SOME 'candidates') then maybe a bunch of ScreenNames will no longer work...

Yep this was another of your whoppers. Unfortunately it is a smear against a good woman and a competitor to the liberal that you support, I hope that we don’t see this nonsense again.

When the GOP held its Alaska caucus on Feb. 5, Palin didn’t bother to endorse a candidate, despite personal appeals from Huckabee and Mitt Romney, her fellow social conservatives.
http://www.gaywired.com/Article.cfm?ID=18091
“Alaska Governor Sarah Palin did not give an endorsement to any candidates in the race, though a spokeswoman for Palin said “she’d like to support McCain” but cannot because of his stance on drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, according to the Anchorage Daily News. Rival Romney received the endorsement of Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski this past weekend. “

Folks here can lie about my motives all they want... I'm not a "Mitt Supporter" for President... I stick up for him against what I perceive as lies... And I would gladly support him against Hussein, if he turns out to be the GOP nominee...
Having said that two things became evident on this thread.... 1. Some of the folks here are so vile, trying to shut debate by their tactics, and I'm bored as hell by it 2. More importantly, whomever said it was right- this is JRob's site AND it's his thread... It's not appropriate to blatantly challenge him on something he feels so strongly on... After all, we're all guests in his living room...
Given that, I, for one, will stay off of these threads from now on

Folks here can lie about my motives all they want... I'm not a "Mitt Supporter" for President... This goes back more than two years, you sound like a rino to me, and a Mitt fan. For more than two years you always pushed Romney, you always dilute it just as you have done on this thread with something like 'I would prefer X, but' and then you get back to Romney.(I put in the bold below)

We got slapped in the last election... We lost 55 - 45% overall, lost hold of both chambers, and our President's approval rating is mired in the 30s... We lost some of our most conservative voices... So... what should we do??? Nominate the most CONSERVATIVE person we can find... How pathetic... We got smacked, elections have consequences... We're not going to rebuild in one election, we have to re-gain the public's trust and slowly rebuild our ranks... I'd be ok with Romney or Rudy, but ultimately, anybody but a Dem.

You do realized that this @&&^ diogenesis post show how ignorant he is!
When Mormon feminist Judith Dushku learned that Mitt Romney, her former bishop and friend, counseled a woman to come to full term with her sixth pregnancy --despite overwhelming medical advice that the life of mother and child were seriously endangered -- she confronted Romney about the matter, privately and publicly. He reacted bitterly, breaking off their relationship.
This feminist Dushku just did not a baby that late in life but Romney tried to persude her to carry to full term an allow the child to be adopted.
Don't take this jerks post serious it is not worth it.
When you think of it all this road rage towards Romney never reaches Romney it is to show how much contempt and meanness this man has towards those in his world that don't agree it makes him very uncomfortable it like a women who feels has no control over her world after she has been raped.
This kind of personality can be very hard to live with!
BTW that Photoshop pic is silly the LDS don't were robes like the star chamber crowd!
We should celibrate that our souls are not filled with all the rage and hate this man displays every day of the year!
Be of Good Cheer!:)

My dear friend there are many who souls are so bankrupt the more they spew the more it shows!

I stand by those comments... I like the way you take it out of context. You're shameless. I preferred Fred T, but after he lost, I switched to Mitt... Why didn't you post that one? Oh yeah, it wouldn't serve your interests.
I'd rather have Romney or Rudy over Hussein any day of the week. You're a fool if you don't.
