Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

Thats a lie. He realized he was wrong and has been pro-life for years How many years? About the same amount of years as all the rest of his new conservative ideas, about three or four, in other words just what everyone says, it was time to adopt a new persona for a new electorate base.
In 2005 58 year old Mitt Romney made the claim that he had an epiphany in a conversation with a scientist, a conversation that the scientist says didn't happen, that turned him from pro abortion to pro life, just in time for the beginning campaign for the 2008 primary.

Huckabee says what he wants in his own name.
Unlike GOP-traitor Mitt Romney's and his minions' knives fresh with
the coppery smell of Gov.Palin's and her childrens' blood on them
all done secretly, through junior staff's spouses.

Not surprising coming from a poster who is obsessed with hatred for Mitt Romney, who has done much to build conservatism, while you and you despicable group do everything you can to tear it down.Just curious...which group would you include Jim Rob in? The group "who has done much to build conservatism" (as you erroneously assign to Mitt) or the "despicable" group who are "obsessed with hatred for Mitt Romney" and "do everything ... to tear [conservatism] down"?
Considering Jim Rob's comments objecting to Mitt, it appears you consider him, and those who vocally oppose Mitt, quite despicable.
I'm betting I don't get an answer to that question.

The persistent anti-Romney posters are the nastiest, most obnoxious and dishonest posters I have EVER encountered and MOST of them are anti-mormon. A good many are democrat infiltrators. They repeatedly tell boldfaced LIES about Romney after they’ve been corrected countless times.
= = = = = = = = = = =
Wow. Pots and kettles there. You accuse US of being nasty, obnoxious, and dishonest, then because we see Romney’s record for what it is, you claim we are Dem “infiltrators”.
And there are FAR more here who are anti-Romney but not anti-mormonism (I oppose their theology, I love the LDS personally as do many of us “antis”. So don’t just go around accusing us of being bigots because YOU cannot see the forest for the tress.
The pro=Romney posters on this thread are the ones who have been shown to lie and attack.

Hello GOP_Lady.
You and Romney think America wants a politician that waffles on a dime, hates women,
fabricates fake law enforcement badges to give his people an 'edge',
acts like a "conservative" until elected when he mutates to a socialist dictator,
and tries to win by putting down competitors (eg. McCain and Thompson, see below)
with dirty tricks, and when he loses
acts like the ultimate 'poor loser' (see below attacking the GOP candidate)
all to throw Election2008 to the adversaries. Perhaps not.
America treasures leaders with honesty and class -- not just greased hair and fake badges -- like Myth Romney
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
Similar to Romney's other scortched earth tactics:
Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"
Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson."
"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."
[Romney: A Mistake for McCain, 7/23/2008, Dick Morris]
Team Romney aides bogus badges: Sources detail illegal security tactic
" Boston Herald - Friday, July 20, 2007
In an apparent violation of the law, a controverisal aide to ex-Gov. Mitt Romney
created phony law enforcement badges that he and other staffers used on the campaign trail
to strong-arm reporters, avoid paying tolls and trick security guards
into giving them immediate access to campaign venues, sources told the Herald.
They (the aides) knew the badges were fake and probably illegal,
said a presidential campaign source who asked for anonymity
because the story could damage the individuals career.
Two additional sources confirmed that the badges - described as bright silver plates with a state seal attached -
were first created and used by Garrity while Romney was still governor."
Team Romney aide takes leave after accusations
"BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- An ever-present aide to Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney
took a leave of absence Friday after he became the subject of investigations
in two states for allegedly impersonating a law enforcement officer. ...
Jay Garrity, who serves as director of operations and is
constantly at the side of the former Massachusetts governor,
is accused of .... identifying himself as "Trooper Garrity" of the Massachusetts State Police..
Meanwhile, Garrity also has been accused of telling a New York Times reporter ....
that he had run the license plate of the reporter's rental car...
New Hampshire law prohibits citizens from accessing the state's license plate database. "

"That's what some Republicans told Reagan after his first unsuccessful bid for the R nomination and the presidency." Reagan was a famous conservative that emerged in at least 1947 if he wasn't known as such already, Reagan was successful at getting elected and reelected, he wasn't an anti-Reagan liberal guy that pulled off a single unsuccessful term as governor with no reelection.
Hear hear, Ans! That's our kinda STUFF!
Romney is a loser and bad news for the GOP, conservatism, and America. We need to fight him off the GOP before once again, as he did last time, his "spoiler" status creates a drain on the coffers and resources of truly worthy conserative candidates and warriors. Romney is like slow poison to the GOP.

I can only speak for me, however I like being referred to as being despicable, at least when being called such by a Romneybot.
Means I got ‘em right where I want ‘em, I called their bluff and insults are all they got left.
I wear it as a badge of honor...
But I won't take you up on your bet either, I wager crickets myself...
Or if they do post they will ignore your reference to the boss and go on to attack the rest of us. Ever notice how they do that, how they just walk around the 800 LB gorilla in the FR room. Goes hand in hand with how they act as if all the facts about Mitt are non existent...

We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged

I agree with you...
Most mormon threads are made into the “Mitty worship hour” and anyone who doesnt bow, gets burnt at the stake of cursing and ugliness, mindreading and wild unfounded accusations...
“You wont/didnt vote for Mitty ??? Then you’re a bigot, hater, liberal, Demodcrat, troll, socialist, communist, feminist, (and so on)”
Lifetime conservatives have been astounded to find themselves accused of covert non-conserative activities and statements...
Lifetime pro-lifers have been told that Mitty is the real pro-lifer, and they are hateful abortionists...
FReepers who have served honorably in the US military have been accused of “stealing valor” and being unAmerican, while 2 time draft dodging Mitty whose family have not served in the last 150 years, are lauded as “patriotic...
Those same FReepers and others are accused of being unAmerican, while Mitty and his slavish fans are “good Americans” although Romney is a member of a religion that has sworn to overthrow the American government..
But if you keep in mind that we are living in the last days, when good will be called evil, and evil good, you will understand where we all are, and you should escape with still a smigden of your sanity left...
after all many of us in these threads were called Flying Inmans due to a typo...
We think the term sought was “Flying Imams”

Truth bothers you, doesn't it.

That's not what brings me to the race."

Backstabber socialist Romney (Carpetbagger, Utah, NH, CA, Mass):

my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform."

Edit, when it comes to Romney you practice selective listening; I don't. He
says he's for low taxes and private solutions -- I, too, have heard him say it. Unlike you, I also actually
heard and
comprehended his other words, such as those heard in his talk to CPAC -- he says the things that are music to true conservatives' ears -- free markets, small government -- and then goes on to propose "programs" that are the antithesis of those things. THIS IS
WHY I REJECT ROMNEY AND URGE THE GOP TO REJECT HIM AS WELL.
That you are so limited in your perceptions as to think that anti-Mormonism is the only conceivable reason good FReepers, conservatives, and Republicans reject Romney, is YOUR problem, and it's time you faced up to it.

Romney is like slow poison to the GOP. Something that none of us has articulated well is that Mitt Romney, his father and failed Presidential candidate George Romney, and his mother failed Senatorial candidate Lenore Romney have always been engaged in a war against conservatism.
Mitt's revulsion at conservatives such as Ronald Reagan and the 1994 Republicans and what they stood for is as well documented and recorded as his parent's was in the 60s and 70s.
The fact that one day in about 2006 an alien creature burst out of that history with a $150,000,000.00 advertising campaign and an instant adoption of what had been his former enemies ideology (conservatism) and a sudden clawing obsession to become the very king of that hated movement that had so shamed and blocked his family's ambitions for at least two generations sets off huge warning signs for many of us.
