BOOKMARK
Our convention is in a very central location, easily reached by good superhighways. We certainly hope to see many members of the Northern and Southern Florida chapters drive to Orlando for this rare event in FR life.
Our hotel is a destination in itself, unique and entertaining. Meeting up with familiar screen names that now have faces is great fun and kinda like meeting kinfolk you've never seen before.
Yes, it's a drive, but organizing for liberty means never flagging or ignoring the Paul Revere call to action.
It's been a long, depressing year. Some R & R with fellow freepers for a couple days in unusually fascinating surroundings will re-invigorate you politically, lift your morale to dizzying heights, and allow you to feed salty little libs to the hotel's alligators.
Make a quick decision now, you won't regret it, believe me.....and join those who are already signed up and coming from many miles away.
Florida freepers from near and far, the colonists are gathering.....join FR's own Tea Party!
One if by I-10, two if by I-95.........

I’m sure someone won’t mind storing your things in their room during the conference.
There is not wireless available in the conference room, but I believe areas of the hotel have WiFi available.
"All rooms have wireless high speed internet access as well as a desktop computer free of charge. All rooms have safes (a laptop can fit in) with laptop charging ability."
"Access" probably means there's a charge somewhere. I'll see what I can find out.

For those who wish to bring a laptop, convention relations tells me that there is a wireless connection working in all the rooms... however, they were not completely clear on this latter point. [?]
To find the Sarasota Room and the meeting, enter the Center, bear to the right to the up-escalator to the Ballroom Level, and look for signs to the meeting room. [see post #245 for more details].
The H2O Sports Bar and Grille are below the 'Bridge', as is the Piazza and the pool areas... stair to right of Convention Center entrance.
I was informed on the phone that it was an additional charge to have wireless in the convention room.
That’s correct. That’s why we won’t have it there. I didn’t inquire as to the price, but if it’s like everything else it’s out of our budget. :)
Maybe cell phone with web access?
Leni
So if you want to make a last-minute stab at it do it now! Freepmail your stab to "MinuteGal".
If there is a winner, which doesn't look too promising at the moment, LOL, it'll be announced early evening.
The clues to help you identify the prize are listed on post #247. Good luck and stay tuned here.
Leni/MinuteGal
Remember, aside from the time limit on this drawing, you can STILL REGISTER for the convention this entire week for the same low room rate. However, the hotel informs us that room availability comes into play now because of the approaching weekend, so be forewarned.
If you ARE registered and you haven't notified Roos_Girl of this fact, do it NOW. You must post it on THIS THREAD. You will then be eligible for the prize.
The screen name of the winner will be posted after Jim does his designated gig for us.
So keep watching for the name of the lucky guy or doll freeper who will win the new car....oops, a little prize the size of a bread box.
Good luck to all.
