LIFE IS A FREEP !

What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the trumpet call !
Life is a FREEP, old chum
Come to the Convention Hall !

Put down the knitting, the book and the broom
Time for a holiday
Life is a FREEP, old chum
Come to our Meeting Day !

Come meet and greet, come hear the speakers
Huge hotel, so bring your sneakers
We'll hear your prating, programs we're slating
So.....step right this way, your room is waiting

No use permitting the prophets of doom
To wipe all our smiles away
Life is a FREEP, old chum
See ya that Saturday !

Come on along, start congregating
Phone the hotel for registrating
Life is a FREEP, old chummer
ARE YOU READY TO "BLEEP" OBUMMER?

Leapin' Lizas (...with a "z")

Me too! So it is about the size of a bread box. Interesting! Think I will keep a list of the clues we get since I really like guessing games! :)

Surprise Clues:
1. Whomever wins the surprise, they will love it!
2. It is about the size of a bread box.

Hey Freepers planning on coming into the convention on the evening of the 24th. I will be coming in early and would love to meet up with others who will be there that evening for dinner at one of the great restaurants at the resort.

For those of us coming in early and would like to get together for dinner, let's set a time and meeting place for an early “meet an greet”.

Either leave a message on this forum or FreepMail me.

Can't wait to see everyone there...

Our man on the scene, Bob Ireland, tells us the H2O Sports Bar and Grille (pictured above) is a great spot in the hotel where we can whoop it up on Friday or Saturday night!

The H20 is under the Convention Center entrance bridge. One goes down the stairs to the piazza and the bar is under the bridge with outdoor tables on both sides of the entrance.

The Sports Bar features tropical drinks and memorable views. It serves a fresh mix of American favorites. Mouthwatering cheeseburgers are made from certified Angus beef. Choose from topping llike guacamole, sauteed mushrooms or jalepenos.

Salads are sensational and the drinks are always refreshing. The specialty mini-hot dogs are topped with chile and cheese....or cole slaw or mit sauerkraut, jah!

Lots of TVs inside for sporting events, but with we happy warriors having a ball (and a mai tai) poolside with "our gang", who's gonna watch TV?

The Villa de Flora (pictured above) features seasonal-market-inspired Mediterranean dinners and a fabulous award-winning Sunday brunch for those who want to fill up with a gastronomical treat before the drive home.

A great place to gather for a light breakfast is the Java Coast Coffee Cafe. An eye-opening shot of espresso or a selection from a wide-range of Premium coffees, plus fresh, soft, luscious breakfast pastries will please the tummy while the soul is caressed and the brain engaged whilst in the company of fellow freepers.

From 8:30 to 9:30 AM on the 25th (convention morning) coffee, tea and pastries from a local bakery will be served gratis in our meeting room. This is a "Meet and Greet" session and will be fun as you get to meet the freepers behind the tantalizing screen names and y'all can converse and vent till the Chair calls the meeting to order.

(Ladies, note on the Villa de Flora photo you can catch a glimpse of one of the intriguing shops in the hotel. Shhh, don't tell your husbands.......I'll meet you in the Gift Shoppe!)

Hi! I will be at the Gaylord early on the 24th too. Hubby and I plan to arrive by check-in time of 3:00PM. MinuteGal, Leni, will also be arriving early. Sure there will be more to join us! Perhaps meeting at the Sports Bar & Grill poolside would be a great spot to meet. All we need to do is pick a time! :) Looking forward to meeting you and many other Florida freepers! Jean

Now that you have a flavor of spots available for chowing down in the hotel, I want to urge you to phone in your reservations right away.

See post # 42 for easy reservation details, or call the hotel now at 407-586-2000.

Those not planning to stay overnight, please let us know your intention of coming for the day's meetings if you are. Just post it on the thread to the attention of Roos_Girl.

Freepers, we simply HAVE to have a ball park figure of attendees so we can work with the hotel on various things we need for the convention. We know conservatives will honor their committment to attend.....and it will make the job of the Chair and committee so much easier.

Plus, by registering right away, you'll be eligible for a prize for which your winning number (we hope) will be picked by our own Jim Robinson!

Seek the Truth is trying so hard to guess what the prize is. She's even listing some clues which I have been reluctantly leaking on this thread. Well, here's another clue, Seek......of animal, vegetable and mineral, the prize is animal....and is covered with spots.

Hah, that should get her going.......(evil grin)....
