An Email to an Obama Supporter (grandaughter)
email | NA | NA

Posted on 03/23/2009 10:02:23 AM PDT by dvan

Guess you heard that 68% of "the youth vote" went to Obama. My granddaughter called this morning to tell me she was one of them. I replied with this e-mail:

The election of Obama comes down to this. Your grandmother and I, your mother and other productive wage-earning taxpayers will have their taxes increased and that means less income. Less income means we will have to cut back on basic purchases, gifts and handouts.

That includes firing the Hispanic lady who cleans our house twice a month. She just lost her job. We can't afford her anymore.

What is the economic effect of Obama's election on you personally? Over the years, your grandmother and I have given you thousands of dollars in food, housing, cash, clothing, gifts, etc., etc.

By your vote, you have chosen another family over ours for help. So in the future, if you need assistance with your rent, money for gas, tires for your car, someone to bring you lunch, etc....call 202-456-1111. That's the telephone number for the Office of the President of the United States .

I'm sure Mr.Obama will be happy to send a check from his personal or business accounts or leave cash in an envelope taped to his front door.

It's like this. Those who vote for the president should consider what the impact of an election will be on the nation as a whole and not just be concerned with what they can get for themselves (welfare, etc.). What Obama voters don't seem to realize is that the government's money comes from taxes collected from taxpaying families. Raising taxes on productive people means they will have less money to spend on their families.

Congratulations on your choice. For future reference, you might attempt to add up all you've received from us, your mom, Mike's parents and others and compare it to what you expect to get over the next four years from Mr. Obama.

To congratulate Mr. Obama and to make sure you're on the list for handouts, write to:

The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington , DC 20500

Love you, but call the number listed above when you need help.

Granddad

Exactly. These Obamorons will get what they voted for. Be careful what you wish for as they say. I’ve had to lay-off 3 of my 11 employees. Obama voters all. I have only 1 more Obot working for me. He’s next. The next one will be a very difficult decision. Although, the day card-check passes, I may close up shop.

Did granny get a response?

I was shocked how many small and medium sized business I know laid people off the day after the election. They said if McCain had won, they would have tried to keep people on. Small and med sized business owners have to be very smart to survive. They knew Obama would be a disaster.

May/June 2008 - the markets started going down when Hillary lost 9or had stolen) the nomination. This was billions in capital leaving the United States. Professional investors could have tolerated McCain or Hillary but not Mugabe 2.

I’ve always been curious about the way human beings tend to resist making changes in their personal lives. It’s as if we get into a comfort zone and don’t like to do things differently.

That said, then why in the world do voters demand change from politicians when they go to the polls?

I asked a number of young people in the last election just what it was that they wanted change and not a single one could articulate one change they wanted to experience in their personal life.

That just does not make sense to me.

Do not give them anymore money. They wanted Hope & Change and they got it. Vet bill maybe to help pets but nothing for her. Save your moeny because things are going to get worse.

Tell her to get a second job.

Parents compete with just too many other forces that sometimes overwhelm all the good work the parents do, no matter how well they do it.

Reducing what other forces are out there and compensating for them when they do show up IS something a parent can do. That is a big part of why so many homeschool. Not saying that makes things turn out right every time... but if a parent sends them off for 6 to 8 hours a day for a liberal teacher and a building full of morons to get their 'education' then they should not be at all surprised if they turn out liberal. They can't claim to have done 'all they could' and they can not use the excuse of no knowing how it happened. I will consider leftist kids to be abject failure on my part and hence I am going to make an actual effort to prevent that.

*Wow - it must be really bad if you have to take your daughter to a vet instead of a regular doctor.*

Lmao! I loved that! and I’m 20 and not liberal at all and I’m sad to say yes many of my peers are so liberal it makes me sick to my stomach... I don’t know what would cause a person to abandon logic and reason and embrace unadulterated emotionalism, but then again I still have an ability to think things through rationally. :(

If this in anyway didn’t make sense I’m sorry.. I’ve got the flu and my thoughts are a bit feverish at the moment and I had to write this thing like 5 times before it even made sense to me.

Lets not be too hard on them, when I was 18 I was a Liberal too.

Not me. I can't ever remember a day when I thought like a liberal. I too registered to vote when I was 18, but it was as an independent. To date I have never voted for a Democrat, and I always vote.

Will the youth vote go for him next time if they are compelled to put in some “national service” time??

Funny thing about the Vet bill... it costs a lot more than going to a regular Doc in the Box! $700 to the vet last week and the dog still doesn’t feel good. Must be the dog hospital food.

I almost did something like this with my little sister, but in the end I caved because it was Christmas.

My sister is quite a bit younger than I, so we have more of a Godmother-Goddaughter relationship. I always send her stuff —usually money — for her b-day and Christmas and don’t expect anything in return. (She’s a student and, even if she weren’t, I don’t expect reciprocation.)

This year, I almost made a donation to a pro-life organization in her name, in lieu of a Christmas gift, to sort of “make-up” for what her vote meant to unborn babies. But I didn’t want to come across as petty. (Love is supposed to be unconditional.) So I ended up sending her a gift card.

As it turned out, my parents’ house burned down 4 days before Christmas. (Everyone is fine.) So her gift was lost. Ironically, my other sister DID make a donation to a charity as a gift to our baby sister. (Not sure if she did it for the same reason, but she is a huge Palin fan.) So HER gift went to good use, while mine went up in smoke!

Another way to send the message is for Grandpa to specificaly bequeath the grandaughter $1 in his will.

There won't be much to pass on anyway after B Hussein and his merry pack of RATS reinstitute the inheritance tax.

My kids, both voting in a presidential election for the first time, got this email back in October.

A Plea

I know you don't want to hear me hectoring you about how you should vote but our last phone conversation left me disturbed and, frankly, frightened for your future. We are facing dangerous times. The country is on the verge of an irretrievable mistake that could affect your whole life.

I don't think you can appreciate how dangerous the situation is because you don't know the history. The 20th Century saw Socialism destitute nations, enslaving whole populations to an unworkable economic system that ultimately killed over 100 million -- through famines resulting from perverse misunderstanding of economics or by deliberate efforts to exterminate political opposition, worked to death in slave camps to "re-educate" them, through wars to force Socialism on neighboring countries or just out and out slaughtered by their own governments for opposing the system.

This is the same political and economic system that Obama seeks to impose on the US. His candidacy is the culmination of work that has been carried out slowly in public and in secret since the early part of the last century and more aggressively since the 1960s.

Socialism is antithetical to basic American principles and completely negates the rights of individuals in favor of the collective ("the community"). When Obama told "Joe the Plumber" he was going to "spread the wealth around" he let slip the big secret of his campaign -- he is a Marxist. Please take the time to examine these short pieces. They'll give you bit of understanding of the contemporary connections between Obama and socialism:

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=cH7kT4xwddg

http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/5655

The Obama campaign is being run by David Axelrod who also ran Harold Washington's campaign for mayor of Chicago and Deval Patrick's for governor of Mass. In each case, as well as all other campaigns Axelrod has run, he's used the same strategy. His candidates present themselves as smooth and non-threatening, but never actually saying anything -- just repeating the mantras of "hope", "change" and "Yes, we can". Details are never given. The idea is to present a blank screen onto which the voters can project what they want to see. Anyone who asks questions so as to fill the blank screen with facts is demonized as "racist". Axelrod was successful in both the Washington and Patrick campaigns. Both administrations were/are unmitigated disasters.

There is more. Do you now know who Frank Marshall Davis is? Jeremiah Wright? James Cone? Louis Farrakhan? Richard Cloward and Frances Piven? Saul Alinsky?

Ask yourself these questions.

Many countries have slouched their way willingly into dictatorship through ignorance and indifference and come to mightily regret their choices. In each case there were voices crying out in warnings that were not heeded. I'm begging you to approach this vote with deadly seriousness and not make a horrible mistake.

I don't know how they voted. I'm honestly afraid to ask.
