The White House is lashing out publicly and personally at a CNBC reporter whose attack on President Barack Obama’s anti-foreclosure plan caught fire on the Internet on Thursday.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs jumped at the chance to go after the CNBC journalist, Rick Santelli, when a question about his bracing critique was asked at Friday’s news briefing.
“I’ve watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives or in what house he lives but the American people are struggling every day to meet their mortgages, stay in their jobs, pay their bills, send their kids to school,” Gibbs said. “I think we left a few months ago the adage that if it was good for a derivatives trader that it was good for Main Street. I think the verdict is in on that,” the press secretary said, poking directly at the cable journalist, who reports from the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Gibbs insisted Santelli was misinformed when he said Obama’s program would amount to a transfer of money from prudent taxpayers to those who had taken reckless risks.

The ‘progressives’ always promise jobs, jobs, jobs and then bites the hand that feeds them.
Businesses know what’s afoot. The coming layers of bureaucracy and the ‘crowding out’ of capital will get them the exact opposite of what they promised.

Is 'sneak & peak' still part of the Patriot Act? If so, my hunch is there will be a lot of sneakin' & peakin' goin' on at Santelli's address.

I had the exact same thought. I hope some otherwise well-meaning (but previously ignorant) journalists out there are getting their eyes opened and call this out for what it is.
And, to boot, Mr. Holder says you are likely a ‘Coward’ because having Obama as POTUS and he as Att’y General is apparently not enough. I guess he is telling us we have to look into our deep rooted racism until we get it right.

Sounds to me like they are taking a page right from Saul Alinsky’s radical book. YIKES!
You can bet the farm that democrat strategists/hitmen are going through all his finances and other dealings back to high school as we speak.
This is a good example of how to keep the media in line.
That is what I am giving Obama credit for. He knows how to keep a good image using the media.
The smearing of Mr. Santelli’s character officially begins.
