MEET UP 10 A.M. MONDAY AT SPECTERS OFFICE 711 HART SENATE OFFICE BUILDING
Just checked the airlines. Looks like we can get reasonably priced tickets to DC. Will arrive Sunday night. Available to protest Porkulus Monday and Tuesday and return to Fresno as a free man on Wednesday.
Will anyone join me?
An exception to my Fair Tax ping rule but well worth the effort!
Love this idea!!! There's no way I could make it, three small children and I live in the wrong Washington. But I would so love to participate in this.
The email/voice boxes are full, and they won't empty them. They have shut off the people. They are no longer our representatives.
Suggestion: www.Priceline.com
Tickets purchased 48-24 hours prior to departure, are vastly cheaper.
(If assigned a low-maintenance carrier, BYO life vest)
Gee, thanks for the tip ;^)
If you live in the area, you can help FReepers find rooms, etc. I'm in the Great Basin, can't go, so I'm helping by asking a couple hundred of my good Nascar friends to do what they can. That's what I meant.
OTOH, we did bump the thread, and maybe that's what you and I can do to help at this point.
I have to work that day.
Good idea. I’ve donated once, will do so again.
Dang, Jim, I am doing vacation coverage for a co-worker....maybe if the Republicans can hold the vote off longer.
I am sick about this whole stinkin’ pile of pork.
The media isn’t doing ANY analysis of this...just carryin’ Hussein’s water for him.
Just got your messeage via Kristin and I will come out both days.
Hey! What time/place? We might be able to make it!
Bump for the thread and wishing we had more notice.
We need a major march on Washington but we also need enough notice to take off work, we’re barely hanging on now to our jobs and trying to prepare for the worst.
I’m glad this is happening but I also am sure more people could go if we could also plan ahead for something bigger. We need a plan.
I am unable to go, however I will pray for success and for your safety. My phone has been busy calling everyone in Congress . Will keep it up. My two Senators, Sessions and Shelby are voting against.
Thank you Jim for everything that you do .
Wish I could, I’ll be working, but I’ll be calling throughout the day to every Senator possible.
BE BLESSED!!!
I wish I could. If other Texans want to get together I can probably make Austin, Tuesday though.
Oh I wish so much, but we don’t have spring break till march. I wish you the best of luck and any other Freepers who make it up there. Congress won’t even know what hit them after ya’ll been there!

Jim Robinson
Looks like we have a protest this Monday and Tuesday.
JimRob will be the most senior FReeper there so if he isn't busy, hopefully he can help you out.
From Kristinn's thread, the general meeting place will be at 10 a.m. at Specters office, 711 Hart.
We will have to be at Collins and Snowe's offices also.
And don't forget the Pubs that are against the Porkulus Bill. They need to know that they have supporters so they stay strong against this.
Find your senator HERE (Search is in upper right corner) or one that supports the bill.
If they kick us out, we'll meet as close to the the entrance of the Hart Building as we are allowed.
The Hart Building is on Constitution Avenue.
Closest metro is the Union Station Red Line. After you get out of Union Station, go a little left of your line of sight with the Capitol Building. You will run directly into the senate buildings.
WEATHER: Monday, 50 & Sunny; Tuesday, low 50s & 20% chance of rain.
Maybe if we wear PINK, as in Code Pink, we can walk right in. /sarc off
