Re: Immigration — “Immigration raids are ineffective: Despite a sevenfold increase in recent years, immigration raids only netted 3,600 arrests in 2006 and have placed all the burdens of a broken system onto immigrant families.”

That statement is completely irrelevant, as authorities netted more than 300,000 in the past year.

HMM does he really want a bunch of conservatives going into the classrooms to help? I will gladly go just to counteract the liberal teachers agenda.

The Democrats are obsessed with the works programs of the New Deal under FDR, and are convinced that’s the way to get the economy going again. I heard Howard Wolfson bring it up again on O’Reilly the other night. I don’t think they understand that these things don’t work, however, if the government has no money to pay for them (and they really didn’t work that well under FDR, either). The only thing that will bring jobs over the long run back to this great nation are tax cuts and less regulation on small business.

The left is obsessed with controlling as much of your life as possible. They want as much of your income and wealth as possible. Now they want to force you into government service (the GOP needs to start calling this a "draft" to defeat it). They want to control what information flows to you about their activities and they want to control the goods and services you use which are currently produced by a somewhat free market. It's amazing how many people fail to comprehend this and think that the left is somehow for greater personal freedom.

I’ve read parts of it. Wonder who the authors were.

I would bet Danielle Allen and that Valerie chick.

What a pant load. I'm guessing this web site wont make the “wayback” archives in it's present form.
I'm thinking we should save all the web pages there...so they can be haunted by there own words.

""All those stupid blue collar whites voted for was a $500 welfare handout""

They let obama buy our Liberty for a few pennies.. Freedom is priceless...

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
Samuel Adams

>>>I do believe that 50/100 hours of community service for our children is slave labor.

I know of some children that work the East African Mines that would agree with you.

Turn off the Google Ads at the footer of the movie to read he English subtitles.

THIS is what Daniel Pearl was writing about before he was kidapped and beheaded. He never got to publish part 2 of his story.

These gems were funding Al Qaeda and the rat routes to smuggle them out of East Africa were/are controlled by militant muslims.

“I do believe that 50/100 hours of community service for our children is slave labor.”

the 100 hours for college students translates to $40 an hour (tuition tax credit = $4,000)

i’ll “volunteer” for that...;)

We exist to serve the state. That’s the Obama message.

These “corps” monstrosities make me sick.

From the civil rights page:

Obama and Biden will work to overturn the Supreme Court's recent ruling that curtails racial minorities' and women's ability to challenge pay discrimination. They will also pass the Fair Pay Act to ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

Equal pay for equal work is a way to force employers to pay 'pink collar' jobs, like receptionist the same as 'blue collar' jobs, like construction worker. A huge government bureaucracy will be developed to define 'equal work' jobs.

I also have a problem with prohibiting discrimination based on 'gender expression'. This sounds like you can't fire someone because he dresses like a woman.

The 13th Amendment to the Constitution declared that “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude...shall exist within the United States.” Formally abolishing slavery in the United States, the 13th Amendment was passed by the Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified by the states on December 6, 1865.

You know, it is kind of ironic that the communist democrat whiteys have picked a black man to be the one responsible for the destruction of the greatest country in the world.

This is how black people will be branded in history.

meanwhile the scurrying white RATs can claim it wasn’t their fault.

Men I’m not too concerned about it. Even disregarding the time it would take to draft, enact legislation, and implement a program, he would lose his biggest base of volunteers and supporters. Change we can believe in sounds great to us college kids, until change means we have to get off our asses on a Saturday morning!

Where did you get that information? The $40 an hour I mean.

And how much do middle schoolers get? How about the parents that have to take time to take them back and forth and stay with them while they perform their slavery?

And it’s one thing to “volunteer” for that, and that’s good that you would.

It’s another to FORCE it. “Require” doesn’t leave much in the way of “volunteer”.

And the majority of the electorate will comply. Only in the second term will the worm try to turn....but it will be too late.
