The 13th Amendment to the Constitution declared that “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude...shall exist within the United States.” Formally abolishing slavery in the United States, the 13th Amendment was passed by the Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified by the states on December 6, 1865.

Thank you for that. I knew there was some law somewhere that mentioned “involuntary servitude”. I can’t wait to abolish this little “corps” program he has.

Must. Find. Constitutional. Lawyer.

That isn’t Barack of course. Did he actually GO to law school? Or is he just convinced that his version is better than the one we have?
