I am not surprised that the United Mine Workers endorses Barack Obama.
I have always felt that unions are the most hypocritical, destructive forces in American industry.
Unions literally grab the employers and shake them upside down using threats, coercion, lies, negative publicity and even outright violence.
They do not care one single whit about the well being of the company, nor do they even care about the future of the workers. And this goes for the union workers who are near retirement.
They think nothing of bankrupting a company just so they can get a few more benefits in their outlandish pensions. All one has to do is look at the UAW pensions as proof. So they screw every young employee and every future employee by driving the company out of business.
So much for the socialist shills who all preach that we should be our brother’s keepers. Like Obama, that is great as long as it is YOUR brother and not his that they speak of. I hate unions with a passion.

I would say you are 100% correct. This is further evidenced by these statements:
Obama states:”..as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it”
but then he also states:””every unit of carbon or greenhouse gas that was emitted would be charged to the polluter.”
In other words coal would be allowed as long as CO2 is not produced.
Question for Zero:
How can coal be used to produce energy without generating CO2?

That's making the assumption that Senator "Coke-head" Obama has any allegiance to our country.
This is the same man whose wife had never been proud of America until her spouse was nominated by the Democrats. The same man who listened to Jeremiah Wright damn America for over 20 years, and made significant cash contributions to Wright's church. The same man who pals around with unrepentant terrorists such as Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. A man whose friends include Rashid Khalidi and the Farrakhans.
It's not an assumption that I am willing to make. I don't think that Senator Obama has America's best interests at heart, and that he would be quite willing to see our country's decline.
