I was eating lunch today with the wife on her birthday. The table next to us was a gentleman and a young lady, well dressed, curiously looking at papers spread out over the table. The fellow had a briefcase with a huge McCain\Palin Victory sticker. Wife and I whispered about who they can be. Wife turned around and just had to ask. Well this was a Republican party of Pennsylvania honcho in charge of the Victory campaign for the good guys. We got into an interesting discussion about the debates, polling, etc. This what I heard
. It was very encouraging, the numbers that the campaign has been seeing. Not Zogby, Rassmussen, etc. He said real political analysts think those polls are for mass media consumption and not very accurate. This is straight from the horses mouth folks
McCain campaign is showing nationwide between +2-4 for McCain. I questioned the accuracy saying well all the polls I have seen, blah, blah. He interrupted me, Like I said ignore those polls , about useless. He said remember we had this talk , McCain will win Pa by at least 2 points. So buck up fellow soldiers.
What did you have to eat?
If Johnnie comes marching home in PA, Zero is toast and we can all go to bed early.
hope you’re right
Winning by one electorial vote is a win. I want more just too shut up the ass holes. I’d like a margin of 10 or better, but don’t think that is possible. If it happens, I will gladly say I was wrong. We need the popular vote also, by a couple of million or more. You can cry cheating for a couple thousand or so, but not a couple million or three. That is what we need to shut them up. I know it won’t but it would give us the ammo to say shut up you lost.
From your lips to God’s ears!
I had a grilled chicken salad and wife had Bruchetta with a nice glass of Burgandy
Sounds like my tagline...
Not a big surprise to me. Even the “MSM polls”, when properly weighted for normal party ID (such as actual 2006 turnout, which favors Dems, actually), show McCain with slight leads.
Bookmarked for future reference.
McCain +2? What was margin for error? Sounds about tied to me, and with a month to go, that number is no more solid than chimney smoke.
If you’re in PA look for these folks and say ‘hey!’!!!!

“I had a grilled chicken salad and wife had Bruchetta with a nice glass of Burgandy”
Ewww....wich chicken?
I think this falls in line what Karl Rove has said, there are polls and then their are POLLS which only the campaigns have access to. Rove knew that in 2004 Bush had Florida in the bag, and were scratching their heads as the the polling outfits like Marist and Rassmussen had it close or Kerry winning.
It’s a well known fact that the polls we are seeinf now are over sampling democrats by 8-10 points. One recent poll had O up by 4 but had polled 37 percent Dems to 27 percent repubs. Poll balanced amounts and McCain is even or ahead.
PA FReepers, put the pedal to the metal! We can really mess up the Democrats' night in PA, not only for Obama but for several Dem Congressmen.
