For me, McCain’s “veterans know I will take care of them” line was the most memorable.
The narrative for the debate is not determined by the roundtables, the American people find their own narrative.
None of the pundits mentioned the Gore sighs in their after debate analysis, but you can be sure the people noticed. They all said it was a tie until a week later when it became obvious Gore lost.
We will have to start our search on the ABC site and go from there ; P

He had it after his acceptance speech. Looked like Il Duce looking over the crowd.

I’ve been watching on Fox...
every time they showed a side view of McCain with both candidates in view, McCain seemed apprehensive about even looking in Obama’s direction, while Obama continually tried to make eye contact....
Watch the media run with this big time.
It might have succeeded in making Obama mad, but possibly at a higher cost to himself.
I just looked at DU (it’s not locked down, just slow) and judging by the titles to the threads they are not happy campers, LOL!

McCain was great
So, did McCain say anything remotely conservative in this debate? The only part I saw was the end, which I thought McCain finished well (politically speaking). Blech, as much as I love politics, I couldn’t bear to make myself watch to statists slug it out. Will watch the HBO special DVD series on John Adams tonite. :)
