“Country First”. It is ham-handed, but in that it refers to McCain’s claim to put “Country before Party”, I suppose it is meant to reach out to Democrats to cross over. It also reminds me that McCain said he would rather lose the election than lose the war, a great example of putting country first.

He sure is. He is ending his career in the senate after this term by saying the things he is saying here tonight, and I am sure that he knows it. Although we may not agree with many of Senator Lieberman's positions, every Republican should appreciate the sacrifice he is making to get our candidate elected. I have a new found respect for Joe....that was an amazing tribute to a Republican for a politician in a precarious position...the easy way out would have been to decline to speak.
Country first Joe....and Thank you!

I get it now what Joe's speech was all about...so call me selfish, I just wanted it to be about us, not the Dems and Independents. ;)

Someone need to get a screen cap of Chris Matthews hair. It is a riot!
To: DrDeb
I don’t think he will be calling Chrissy to a duel, but I’ll take him. He did a very good job in reaching out the indys and angry Dems.

Did you miss it?
Lieberman is a proven douchebag, and his speech is meaningless to diehards, like Me.
