You have to understand that this speech is not for US, it’s for the people out in “undecided” land.

The real ticket for change this election is the McCain/ Palin ticket.

Boy, he probably should throw in the towel and become one of us now.

Did you hear him he said the real change is McCain, I think we need to work that into a bumber sticker and tee-shirts.

“Joe L is doing okay...good line about Michael Moore.”

I wish he would have ended on it. That would have been outstanding, leave em laughing and thinking. Plus they would have put that quote in the papers.

I recall an old phrase, takes one to know one. We know what McCain has done, good and bad, and what he has sacrificed for this country. What do you have better to offer?

Am I the only person who thinks this “country first” theme is total baloney?

We’re giving the socialists all of the spiritual nourishment they need— they can nationalize energy, nationalize healthcare, nationalize finance etc while saying, “country first!”

The entire point of America is INDIVIDUALISM, not sacrifice. We are the architects of our own lives. Sacrifice isn’t good in itself— one should only sacrifice if the result is a net gain.

Sacrifice has been McCain’s problem his entire career— McCain starts with conservative principles, and thinks there is some virtue in sacrificing them. I’m not gonna vote for the other side, but geez, WTF?

figure out how punish Lieberman for appearing
here tonight. They’re furious.<

Isn’t Joe currently an independent? I agree, this is courageous of him.

National unity? Here we go with the touchy feely liberal crap. Yeah, its a good idea, and happened a few times in history. But it didn’t last long. Joe, give up the dream.

"Remember who Lieberman’s audience is."

You make a great point. We need those independent voters.

Lieberman’s reputation and the significance of his appearing here is understood by the American people.

Leiberman is on National Prime-time, Everywhere.

A well-known, sitting DEMOCRAT, one who believes in DEMOCRAT IDEAS, taking a stand against the crazies that have taken over his own Party.

Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont want to imagine it. It makes me cry to think he isnt the nominee. I have a big ole lump in my throat just listening to his speech. I was gonna hold my nose and vote for McCain but I have to admit, he has won my respect in recent weeks especially with Saddleback and the addition of Palin to his ticket. Now I am actually excited about the election. Of course if it was Thompson/Palin I would be beside myself with glee, shouting it from the mountaintop and dancing in the streets!

EXACTLY! Point well made! Lieberman is doing what is needed. He is doing fine and his speech is actually being carried by the MSM.
