The national platform approved at a Democratic Platform Committee meeting in Pittsburgh on Saturday includes language that calls for repealing the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy implemented by Democratic President Bill Clinton and for allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the military.
Under current federal law, homosexual conduct is illegal in the U.S. military.
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, has said he favors repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and allowing avowed homosexuals in the military.
In Congress this summer, some Democratic members started laying the ground work for such a policy change should Obama be elected...

Obama is a radical and we don't yet know how radical. However, we have had many radicals run for president in the past, some perhaps more radical.
Gonna have to build more barracks. Gonna need new ones for the mos and lezzies, cuz they have no sexual interest in each other, and can be housed in the same building.

He’d also end up reinstating the draft. There’s no way otherwise to realize his program of a domestic security force larger than the military without unwilling conscripts. But in the new millennium, he would also have to include women among the draftees as any program that compelled only men would quickly fall as discriminatory. I wonder how poplar he would be among the college crowd if they realized their fates at the hands of their savior.
Having homosexualists in the military will give whole new meaning to ranks like “Rear Admiral”, “Lance Corporal”, “Chief Petty Officer”, “Able Seaman”, “Gunner’s Mate”, and of course “Private”.
I fear for my country...

Now, since I learned here in FR in the course of the last two years that many "Republicans" could not care less for social-values, I decided then that there is no difference between Macaca and Ocaca as far as I am concernced :) I will vote for Duncan, a decent, worthy American who was ignored by the so called Republicans.

Me, too. I have a special affection for Marines since my younger brother is one (but not active).
But from comments he has made in the past, they could allow the new rules for the Navy and it wouldn’t be any big change. (This is a joke, people)
Somehow I suspect that the incidence of fragging will increase as more homo’s are openly serving.
If the 'Rats think it's a great idea to fill the barracks up with homos they should first have to try it themselves for a while.
How many normal people would volunteer for the military knowing they have to sleep in barracks like this with practicing tailgunners on the adjacent bunks?

Take special note of all those high ranking military folks that publicly support the Obamanation. Yes, there are traitors in the military, that would do their very best to stab their buddy in the back, and some of them happen to be in very high positions.
