Might as well include ANWAR.....ASAP!!!

ANWR is an entirely different issue.

Offshore drilling is something that allows us to compete for resources that others can take if we don't.

ANWR contains domestic reserves that are not, in general, at danger of loss. Tapping them would be acting in a short-term, liberal fashion, propping up our competition and then selling out our future.

Here’s a quote: ”Speculators are getting killed these days; they are loosing money heavily these days. They are selling panicky these days. They are right in selling, because there is no oil to hold on. I wish somebody saves the speculators who are selling. The fact is that there is no oil for delivery and they know that they are not sitting on oil,”

How dare you! There's PLENTY of oil! Just put your head back in the sand and you'll see!

The price of crude has climbed much faster than the price at the pump.

What bothers me is that folks post this stuff as if we had just won a great victory.

Folks, this is part of the reason why some of us have been livid with Bush since day one.

Here we are seven point five years down the pike, and Bush has finally pulled his head out on this issue. Rememeber the talk of that ten years it will take for us to benefit from loosening up the oil policy?

If Bush had done his job, we would be 2.5 years from nervana.

Right now we’re still ten years away. Oh yippie, we’re so lucky to have a president like this!

Bush has been a write off for about 90% of his Presidency, and he is more responsible than any other person, that we have McCain to deal with now.

Shirking your Conservative mandate, makes it so folks don’t even know what Conservatism vs Leftism means on most issues.

Yep, the left doesn’t have a leg to sand on here. I’m still of a mind that our team didn’t do it’s job either.

Bush had a majority in Congress. What did he do with it?

Now you’ve got T B Pickens saying drilling won’t end our dependency. (fortuitively, it ran while I wrote this to you)

This nation has lost it’s collective mind.

Didn’t she promise that gas prices would go lower during her campaign?

Yep.

A local democrat party office here in Maine has two bumper stickers on one of their windows.....

WHEN BUSH TOOK OFFICE, GAS WAS $1.46 PER GALLON

Moonbat headquarters.

And, the price of gas when the dems took over the Congress was $2.10-$2.25, with a promise and a "plan" to reduce the cost of gas. Yepper! That worked! Now $4.25. Friggin' democrat blowhards.

So, now it is our turn. We should burn up the phone and fax lines demanding congress take similar action. Remind them of their 2 yr. moratorium on solar, their denial of nuclear power, there NIMBY attitude about wind...tell them to sh*t or get off the pot.

This is the perfect set-up for the GOP to find their balls before the election and speak the truth about alternative energy and its timetable compared to drilling for oil NOW. Challenge them Obambies to if this is not the greatest country in the world, with the toughest environmental laws, and that would and does have the ability to safely drill offshore far more safely than China, Venezuela, Cuba, or whatever other country that is out there already!

McCain had better back this!

If Obama doesn't he will lose the election.

I just wonder how many people even know we have a rat majority. I have heard people complaining about issues and when you tell them its the dems fault because they have a majority in congress now, they just look at you slack jawed, like “Huh? What does that mean?” A few more of the dumber comments I have heard, “The Republicans are going to have to come off of some of their mineral rights so we can drill for oil.” and another “Bush owns OPEC and is controling the price of oil from his OPEC office.” You get the picture.

Relying on a yet to be invented, non-existing and cheaper alternatives to oil, is self defeating.

I learn a lot about where the American people are by listening to average people. They think there are viable alternatives and the oil companies are buying them off or threatening them (the inventors). The rats have done their job of propaganda well.

Yes she did. She said she had a plan and gas would never be over 2.00 a gallon under her plan.

I don’t say this lightly either since just about every member of my family would fit into that category.

Mine, too. Thats what is so discouraging. When you hear your own family making dumb statements and you know they haven't got a clue, and they don't understand when you try to explain it. You just know it is going over their head.

OKay, how about 7 months ago? This is another sign there isn't a nickle sideways that can fit between the Republicans and Democrats on Energy. Talk talk. What other executive orders is President Bush sitting on? Any that he ought to suspend before Senator Obama gets into office? The advice President Bush gets is just awful.

Our Alaska Congressmen moved Bills in Congress to open ANWR to oil/gas leasing should the price of oil hit 125. That was not long ago, when it was 110 and climbing. The Bills failed of course. I have no idea what they are saving ANWR for. If it is in case of general war and imports are cut off, ANWR would probably also be cut off. If they are waiting for Saudi to run out of oil, we’ll be doing something different about energy by then anyway. Everybody knows ANWR is in fact a desolate wasteland, so that enviro thing is bogus.

I sat with two big libs a couple of weeks ago and they want drilling. It’s funny how liberals, despite all their compassion, only want to push their hair-brain agendas UNTIL their pocket books are getting hit. Until they are mugged.
