McCain Proposes La Raza Town Hall
TOWNHALL ^ | Monday, June 16, 2008 | Amanda Carpenter

GOP presidential candidate John McCain is inviting his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, to participate in a joint town hall at an open-borders advocacy group’s upcoming meeting in California.

“There is a meeting in California of La Raza,” McCain told reporters at an Arlington press conference Monday. “Both of us have accepted invitations. I say that we have a town hall meeting together in front of La Raza. I think that the people will be far more informed and in some ways, entertained if we had that format.”

Those McCainiacs that think we will get good judicial appointees from McCain best be advised that his top advisor on judicial appointments will be none other than Warren Rudman, the former senator from New Hampshire, who pushed Souter down the throat of BushI. We are very likely to get more of the same if McCain is elected. He, more than the Bush Chief of Staff, Sununu, was responsible for that miserable choice. The only member of the court more to the left than all the democrats on the court.

"Watching Laura Ingraham’s new FOX program. She is great."

I got rid of cable. When we had it, the FOX channel was on all day and my blood pressure was going through the roof. Especially when Hannity and Colms came on and all those people screeching through one another. I would like to see Laura though.

Waiting until she gets back on her radio program.

Tom Tancredo is for abolishing the Department of Education and reducing taxes. Hunter is for expanding government or at least not for shrinking government drastically like Tancredo is.

Tom Tancredo on Education
Republican Representative (CO-6)

Tom Tancredo speaking: “We don’t need the Department of Education
the difference. That’s because we don’t need the department. It’s an encumbrance on our attempt to actually teach children in this country, as is the federal government and its intervention and its rules. You can’t say on one hand, you’re against having government intervention and on the other hand, tell us that you want music and art and everything else in the school. That’s not the job of a president. It is the job of a governor. That’s what you should run for if you want to dictate curriculum.”

Also:

“Tom Tancredo has been fighting for immigration control and secure borders for the past eight years. He also supports fair trade versus free trade and voted against CAFTA and the expansion of NAFTA and is opposed to SPP, NAU and a foreign-owned NAFTA superhighway. This year alone, Tom has authored 19 bills and amendments, including an amendment to the Homeland Security appropriations bill that will deny funds to sanctuary cities, and has co-signed 84 other bills including H.R. 25, the fair tax plan. Tom earned “A” or “A+” ratings from every conservative group: American Conservative Union, National Right to Life Committee, National Rifle Association, Family Research Council, National Taxpayer Union, Americans for Better Immigration, National Federation of Independent Businesses.

I understand what he’s up to - he knows if the GOP offends the Hispanics, an essentially socially conservative voting block, that the GOP will be headed for permanent-minority party status

Hispanics vote for the Dems 60-40 or higher. The are not essentially conservative. The Dems are bringing them in thru immigration, legal and illegal, so that they can become the permanent majority party.

The Hispanic family is in poor condition with almost 50% of the children born out of wedlock [second to only the black rate of 68%] and teen pregnancy is by far the highest of any group. This myth of Hispanic conservatism is just a chimera to get the GOP to pander to Hispanics and support amnesty.

You just voted for Obama, and slapped the military in the face. There are many things that I differ on with McCain, but there are far more of them with Obama. I support the military, and will therefore vote for McCain.

We have to steer him, and that is far better than aiding Obama.

You can’t invite us to leave this site when the founder of the site opposes McCain right along with us. Enjoy the Republican Party being a distant memory when thirty million illegals are granted amnesty and states like Texas turn blue, blue, blue.

Every time he does this crap to you who are resigned to voting for him, and to those that even have the guts to defend him, I don’t get angry....I just laugh and laugh.

The way I see it, the Dems want the illegals for the votes they will bring them. The GOP wants the illegals because their business constituency wants them. Nobody is looking at the big picture: the end of America as we know it. As we know from the firestorm that met the first call for amnesty, both Democrat and Republican rank-and-filers oppose it, so it’s just the party leadership trying to do this to us.

I think those of you here who are bashing McCain are so one dimensional and delusional. He’s our candidate. We should support him, because not to do so, gives this country to the looney left.

1. He is not “our” candidate. He may be YOUR candidate though. And I have NO obligation to vote for, support, trust or show my back to that POS ever.

2. Not supporting Juan gives the nation to the loony left? JUAN IS THE LOONY LEFT!

McCain is running his campaign like he is sitting in a committee room in the Senate. The committee consists of his elite buddies and budettes and he thinks that the elitist culture of the Senate usurps their obligation to and the wishes of their constituents. They decide they know better.

And since he is trying to expand his constituency beyond his State to include the whole U.S.A. he needs an education in supply and demand. He wants votes (demand) and we (supply) are not delivering!!!

If you want to support Obama, that is your choice,
but be up front and tell us where he will be more conservative and support even the mainstream views of Americans vs McCain.

“Tell me again why I should vote for this puke?”

Because, while Bambi may not be any worse, he does have a “D” next to his name and while he holds most of the same views as Juanito, that “D” makes him evil for those views.

“I support the military, and will therefore vote for McCain.”

Elections are about FAR more than just the military. This election in particular will be fought over energy prices, the economy and jobs.
