I’m not sure I’d want to live to be 150.

Besides if it became routine, congress would change retirement age to 125.

Wew, Babwa Wawa has wived to be won hundwed and fifty, so maybe we can too.

I know she’s not 150, but if I were to look as bad as she does now, I would have to seriously think about whether I would want to still be around or not.

Hate to break the news. Not to throw a wet towel on the party, but except for the likes of Enoch and Elijah...

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Four things that really matter to longevity:

1) The elimination of genetic triggers that drastically lower lifespan. Innovation may accomplish this in our lifetimes.

2) A metabolic thermostat that is easy to calculate. If a person is barely out of high school when they marry and have children, then are a grandparent in their early 40s, they most likely have their thermostat set on high and will not live much past their 60s.

However, people who don’t marry until they are in their 30s and have children later as well, and are only grandparents in their 60s, are a good indicator that they will live into their 90s and beyond.

3) Those who avoid having serious diseases in the major age windows for those diseases. That is, particular diseases occur most frequently in people of certain ages. If you avoid these diseases it usually means that you are healthier than is typical.

4) Self-control and not engaging in risky behavior.

Oh Great, they will repeal the 22nd Amendment and Bill and Hillary Clinton can take turns being President for the next 90 years.

That would mean having to work until you’re 140. No thanks.

As long as I could still run a 4.5 forty and still look like I’m 25. ;-)

Experts say this is the only proven way to extend life

A blatant falsehood. Talking to the wrong experts.

A big part of the problem is that if you want to live till you're 150, you can't wait and then try to do something when you're 50!
You need to start when you are 30-40.
The physical effects of aging are now well mapped out on the cellular and molecular biological level. To a certain extent, the effects of aging are a balance between being able to live long enough to reproduce, and putting off not getting cancer for as long as possible.

Not all, but most cancer cells have the ability to be immortal.

Errrrrrrr....no thanks... don’t prolong the inevitable on me. The train to Old Geezerville has to arrive at the destination and then it’s time to get off the railway for good.

Such news sends shivers up the spine of the SSI folks. Someone opined that if you put all those 100+ folks in a million person city, it would be awfully....quiet...

Crikey, does this mean Hugh Hefner is going to be hanging out with 20 year old chicks for another 60 years?

Aging well and living a long life is one thing. They need to work at restoring muscle tone and growth for men through their 90's as an interim solution until a full rejuvenation is possible.

The question should be: would you want to do it?

Not sure I would want to. Quality of life means a lot, perhaps more than quantity.

It might also depend on whether I could still uh, “perform” and if there was anyone that would want me to “perform” with them.

After the whanger goes, what's left worth living for?

I’m 55 and in good health, but I’m not interested in eating a lettuce diet in hopes of another 95 years!
