Are you saying that supporters of a candidate have no right to canvass at a political conference?

I said nothing of the sort. So I'll repost my response. Perhaps you can comment on the validity of trueblackman's observations.

>>>

Your first hand account is in contradiction to Freeper trueblackman's first hand account

see: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1966565/posts

"I arrived at CPAC this morning around 10:30, the first thing I noticed was several buses from out of town with young McCain supporters taking talking points from old persons.

As I milled around for nearly 2 hours, even did a segement with G.Gordon Liddy. McCain's supports roved the floor after Vice President Cheney's Speech, trying to sale McCain as "A true Conservative and a vote against McCain means a lost of appointments to the federal bench and a chance to work with open minded Democrats!" several operatives tried a number of times to sale me on this point and that McCain is the candidate that can bring all of us together, right!!!

I also noticed that several RLC and Republican groups also had tables at CPAC and were also trying to sale McCain as well.

With all this being said, I can assure you that when the media is trying to sale you on MCCain getting a warm welcome at CPAC, that the room will be filled with his 1,000-2,000 supporters he had bussed or driven in and why do you think he waited to 3pm to give his so-called speech?"

I look at modern liberals and I just shake my head

Then why are you supporting one in McCain?

“Great speech and well received, except for here of course. I’m going to get you all Obama 08’ bumper stickers for your vehicles.”

Naaah! Don’t bother. Just get me the 2012 sticker that says ‘insert best conservative name here’.

You do, of course, hate the old Aztec religion, and maybe Ba’al/Saturn worship where they sacrificed babies ~ right?

I forgot all about the fairness doctrine. Yeah, that’s waiting in the wings if he’s elected.

I watched McCain’s speech on Fox & when he first came on there were lots of Romney signs waving. On the next shots, Fox blacked out the Romney signs.

You’ve been deceived. You can’t tell truth from a con job? Go back and refresh your memory what McLiar is all about. You didn’t hear what he is all about in his a$$ kissing speech.

They were told not to boo McCain and sit on their hands.

No one told me that and I'm here.

Again, is anybody listening to Tom Delay who just said that the room was 'salted' with McCain supporters, but the rest of the folks politely applauded with the things he said that they agreed with.

"I responded: You make my point. You Mc-Bots are blind to the truth and in no way objective about what has really happened. Enjoy your Nov. disaster."

Hey when my favorite candidate Fred dropped I didn't sit around crying, whining and wetting my pants like you Romney wimps. DEAL WITH IT. Get on board or get out of the way.

What does it matter if he seals the borders, if he allows countless millions to enter our nation on work visas, legally.

Sears locks their doors every night, but they get the shoplifters out of the store first.

Trust but verify. There will be a lot of votes in the senate between now and Nov. How will he vote?
Who will he choose for VP?
There is a 50 50 chance that the VP will finish the term.

Thanks......

I'm a little hot under the collar, but I have a serious emotional reaction to this candidacy, even though I am not a immigration hawk. I backed Bush's worker visa idea in the face of huge opposition here and other places. However the Senate poisoned the process in my view. McCain ignored all that.

So even though I agree with him in principle, I was shocked at some of the crap the Senate inserted and McCain did not address this until the bill failed as it was designed to do.

Something just is not right with any of this.

I hope everything turns out good for us in the long run. It took the democrat scandals and poor governance to bring us Reagan. It will take something similar to rebuild the party at this point. We are leaderless and demoralized. We can't win anything in this state of health, and we need a catalyst.

Hope you enjoy CPAC. I have a stiff neck from posting and need a break.

Talk to you later.....

Only the few suckers around here.

McCain and Bill Clinton/Hillary are the only two members of CFR in the election. They were the 2 original front runners. Now they are again.

CFR, with their influence over world affairs and economics, has had a hand in *selecting* presidents and other top officails for 70+ years. The future they have in store for us is very unbecoming.

So it’s come to that has it? LOL

Tom Delay is on FoxNews right now and Cavuto asked how many he thought would sit the November election out. Delay said, he wasn’t sure, but he was already seeing evidence of a big problem for Republicans. Participation in the primaries was very low for Republicans and very high for the Democrats. The Republicans are intereested in the choices this year.

"consulting knowledgeable conservatives on issues"

For McCain, that could mean the likes of a Jeffords or Chafee.

I think that your graphic has it about right. It is interesting, though, that in regards to amnesty, McCain has telegraphed his strategy.

First, he will establish consensus that the borders are secure. (Consensus will be based on perceptions of the talking heads in the media)

Then, once the open border elite have repeated the lie that the borders are enforced, amnesty will be back on the table.

Please see my post #592. Tom Delay just said what I've been trying to say all along. Yes, some McCain supporters arrived by bus this morning...but so did those of all the candidates and even those who are unaffiliated!

There was no 'fix' in on the floor of CPAC when McCain spoke, okay? Maybe his supporters made their way in front of the cameras, but so what?

Conservatives, unlike their DU counterparts, are, for the most part ladies and gentlemen who most likely gave McCain polite applause in view of his military record.

STFU Why do you insist on insulting people? McCain’s record shows him to be a sorry POS. So does Huckabee’s. We all know what they are. With that said, many of us now have to decide whether we’ll support McCain, or end up supporting the dems by either voting for them, staying home, or voting third party. Voting for McCain is a fairly large poisoned watermelon to swallow.

You do yourself disservice by behaving in a loutish, moronic manner. You do your candidate a greater disservice. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you crept over here from the DUmp.
