Just reported on tv. Also said Romney to meet at campaign headquarters tomorrow to have "frank discussion" about future of campaign.
“...do you want him to beat McCain?”
Why would anybody with any sense choose one dishonest fraud (Huckabee) over the other (McCain)?
If Romney drops out of the race, I’ll just write his name in.
I don’t think Rush wants to be in the position of telling folks who to vote for. It’s much more his desire to give folks facts to think about and let them come to their own conclusions. I am sympathetic to that view.
I know a lot of people would have liked Rush to pick a guy and push for him. I just don’t like the idea of waiting on Rush to tell me who to vote for.
You know, Rush put the facts out there. I don’t honestly think he could have done better with regard to warning people about McCain, and look how much that helped.
Folks just aren’t tuned in to the political scene. They’re drones too busy living life to pay attention to someone who could make that life a lot worse.
It will be interesting. I like Huck more than the Mitster. At least Huck and McCain were always ProLife. Mitster took almost half a century to figure it out. THAT is way to slow a learing curve. Unless of course he is a big liar, which is what I think is more likely. Afterall, he has always been member of a very very ProLife Mormon Church.... that means he was openly fighting against his own church.
McCain and Huck are two ProLifers, McCain is military and Huck a minister. They both will keep us in Iraq to long but they will win it. And if Huck can get that sales tax to replace the IRS, that will be outstanding.
IF Obama keeps winning we may have a very easy victory over a very inexperienced druggie like OBsama.
Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter will be supporting the Republican candidate in November, and that will make them RINOs at Free Republic.
And thin skin abounds as well. The term ignorance means a lack of facts...it is not an insult. You have to understand the dynamics of the politics in MA...there are very few Republicans in the masses, much less running for office. To MA standards, he was considered too conservative and therefore lost a lot of peeing for distance contests with the Dems in the MA Legislature, even on things that we would deem liberal. That extreme dynamic is not present in Congress and therefore he would have an easier time getting his plan passed. Therefore, your concerns are moot.
I don’t see what the big deal is about winning in Iraq when we lose our country. The amnesty will be brought back and passed adding millions upon millions of socialists voting for the socialist party. That will be a hole out of which we will never be able to dig.
don’t know don’t care.
hucksters is irrelevant.
NOBODY is going to get my campaign money this year.
NOBODY is going to get my volunteer time.
ZIP.
The only calculation to make is how to push the GOP HARD.
(Would you have offered me the same assurances about Mitt's healthcare position in 2002? "Oh, don't worry, C, here's his healthcare policy for Massachusetts...why the Dems won't slip anything past him like veto overrides galore; like $50 taxpayer funded abortions; like Planned Parenthood folks being part of that. Don't worry, C, here's his policy position on the family for Bay State residents...besides, he's a family man himself...why the Dems and the judicial climate won't slip anything past him on his watch...he'll protect marriage, alright." If so, then your current reassurances are what's moot).
Money may be a small factor. The larger factor is whether Mitt intends to run in 2012, because in all likelihood McCain will lose in November, particularly if Obama is the nominee.
Mitt can work for the GOP in the 2010 midterms and be well-positioned for another run in 2012.
we let em...
either that, or there are not as many conservatives in the GOP as we once thought.
Or, there are many more rino's and liberals in the GOP
or
conservatives have just become quieter and not motivated. We have to remember, the vast majority of the peeples, conservatives included, do not frequest this web site, or are even political junkies.
or
............................
“Its gonna be up to Huck to stop the McCainiac. Can he do it?”
ROFLMAO
Forget about it.
Romney is now going to start planning for 2012 when Obama or Hillary will have over reached and go silly liberal.
Part of that plan will be to hold his delegates until the Convention and at the Convention be the statesman and give them to the obvious nominee McCain.
-—Huckabee (how ya like those Delegate deals now lol) is a lightweight and he will soon find out as McCain’s liberal establishment boys push him off the stage. Romney will then have leverage and friends for 2012.
Romney appears to have blown over $120M in his failed bid, most of it his own money. I don't want to know how that must feel....
Better start watching who McInsane chooses for VP, because that person will really be our president! ie...Lieberman or Pawlenty, for example.
You spoke of past, present and future and I gave you the facts and sound reasoning to back up my side of the debate, so now it just looks like you are being obtuse. What is your real reason for not supporting him?
McCain may not care about the conservatives but he will need them to get his bills passed. This is where the conservatives can form a big lump that will be very hard for Juan McCain to digest.
The people in this heavily Catholic state vote for pro-abortion candidates even though the church is against abortion. The sheeple in this state care about one thing only — what’s in it for me? What entitlements and government goodies can the government give me? The Democratic Party is like a religion around here, it trumps everything else. They worship the Democratic Party like a pagan idol.
Yankee RINOS ...the South has had not problem voting for Carter and Clinton. Is it ok if the liberals are southerners?
