And thin skin abounds as well. The term ignorance means a lack of facts...it is not an insult. You have to understand the dynamics of the politics in MA...there are very few Republicans in the masses, much less running for office. To MA standards, he was considered too conservative and therefore lost a lot of peeing for distance contests with the Dems in the MA Legislature, even on things that we would deem liberal. That extreme dynamic is not present in Congress and therefore he would have an easier time getting his plan passed. Therefore, your concerns are moot.
(Would you have offered me the same assurances about Mitt's healthcare position in 2002? "Oh, don't worry, C, here's his healthcare policy for Massachusetts...why the Dems won't slip anything past him like veto overrides galore; like $50 taxpayer funded abortions; like Planned Parenthood folks being part of that. Don't worry, C, here's his policy position on the family for Bay State residents...besides, he's a family man himself...why the Dems and the judicial climate won't slip anything past him on his watch...he'll protect marriage, alright." If so, then your current reassurances are what's moot).
The people in this heavily Catholic state vote for pro-abortion candidates even though the church is against abortion. The sheeple in this state care about one thing only — what’s in it for me? What entitlements and government goodies can the government give me? The Democratic Party is like a religion around here, it trumps everything else. They worship the Democratic Party like a pagan idol.
