I don’t think that Mitt is the kind of person to run just to hurt someone else.

Mitt will gracefully withdraw.

Completely agree. The claims of lies and attacks on this forum against the GOP candidates are shrill and loud. Posts are made that ignore the whole tale. People aren’t mistaken - they are LIARS (or so we hear oven and over).

It is the pattern I condemn liberal partisans for over and over again.

Ugly.

I fear you are correct.

I hope for some serious McCain bridge-building at CPAC, but I’m not very hopeful.

“I get the distinct impression that the GOP establishment doesn’t really give a damn.”

Prior to 1980, the GOP was very content to be a “loyal minority” party.

If McCain get the nomination we have to vote for McCain, at least we can pressure him to elect good judges.

That won't happen. Juan McCain owes the conservative wing of the GOP nothing. He will have gotten the nomination in spite of everything the conservatives did to stop him. He won't even give them the time of day if he is elected.

We got to have enough Congress seats to spike the Left’s political agenda.

I am still going to vote for whoever the GOP candidate for Congress is here. I hope everyone else does the same. While Juan McCain will give us nothing that we want, even a RINO-controlled Congress, if but one house, could give us some of what we want.

Sadly though, we are probably out of luck there too. We won't have a realistic shot of taking back Congress till 2010 at least.

Well the last pig I could vote looks to be done. I’ll be sitting this one out or maybe even voting Rat to help unite our party with a conservative message.

It's time for the Liar to exit. He was not worthy of anyone's vote. A pandering Liberal is not what this Country needs.

Mitt needs to go home and spend more time with his family.

I very definitely heard Mike say he will be staying in because if he quits he would not be able to continue if “the lead horse breaks a leg”

I'm a Romney booster, but do think he should get out now. He has no chance with the religious bigots or the MSM who is "really" driving the election. Why spend anymore money when the fix is in?

Resign yourselves to the fact that it's going to be McCain and since he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning....we are going to have a Demcrat President for the next 4 years or longer.

The only good news for me last night was that my state delivered for Romney and Obama.

More welfare, more taxes. SS going belly up.
Let Democrats own it, stock and barrel.

McNasty will lose regardless of our support, so we can all take a breath, go on vacation in November.

In the general election, he is simply too old. Bringing up this fact seemed to be “out of bounds” in our primary.

Romney had the best sense about how to put some more drive in the economy and how to attack the energy crunch which is grinding us to a halt.

This line of thinking is Keynesian not conservative.

I decided Romney had the best chance to stop McCain, and so his recent ProLife stand was better than McCain's wanting to federally fund embryonic cell research.

Abortion is sucking the life out of our economy, our defense, our culture and most importantly our morality. No nation or culture has ever survived the abomination of suicidal child sacrifice.

At least many illegal immigrants have big families, are devote Christians, and around here, they have a hard earned reputation for working their asses off. The border needs to be secured for multiple reasons. But the biggest travesty of our government on immigration is not it's lack of enforcement. It is the way it stifles legal immigration with obnoxious bureaucracy.
