Does moral sleep with China?
I will stick with Republicans one more time if FR drops out. I may vote for Huck but that’s it. No mas.
If Fred flops, that’s where my vote will go.
No one. We can just hope tghe country has a negative reaction to Hillary’s leadership.
Fred is my only choice. Otherwise I am just sitting this one out. I am tired of having to settle for 2nd or 3rd choice every year.
It’s nice to know there are pragmatic, thinking Evangelicals.
I think Mitt Romney will make a fine President. He is the only Republican who I think will be able to debate the Dem without tripping over his words in a way that will lead to constant attack by the MSM, accusing him of either being racist or sexist. Mike, Rudy and McCain all have been very intemperate when agitated.....and the press will try to agitate.
I suggest all true conservatives vote for me. I have all the core beliefs and pledge to outlaw Hillary and have her deported to her home planet.
“I have come to the conclusion that Mitt Romney is the best overall candidate from the conservative and Evangelical point of view.
Clearly not.
I have also come to the conclusion that the only reason that a conservative Christian would have for not vote for Mitt Romney is his Mormon religion”
Clearly not.
This is the equivalent of evangelicals supporting Huck. Social
conservative. Liberal socially. Same thing. Except Romney
may or may not be pro life now. Except that Romney may or
may not favor Gays now. Except that Romney may or may not
favor porn now.
That’s a pretty nice and well-reasoned piece. A little fact-bending, though, as I don’t think Rudy raised taxes as mayor of NYC and while he charges Obama of doing embelishing, Willard has also, well, been a little too eager to build raport with hunters. (I think his NRA statement was an honest error which he owned, and I do think his dad DID march with King.)
There is only one "conservative" still in the race and he will get my vote, whether he is on the ballot or not. But that is just my choice.
What the heck is “News Blaze” and how come they do not know how to capitalize a surname?
Well if fidelity to the Constitution is a good measure of conservatism it would have to be Ron Paul (R) TX.
Nice article. People should read the whole thing!
Did I misread the article? Except for immigration, the author never revisited "the social and moral issues," now did he?
Had he done so, he would have found multiple additional reasons to pass him over.
I just wonder how many posters here are actually workers for one of the candidates?
With Duncan Hunter out, I can’t vote for any of them because none of them are Conservatives. No matter how much lipstick you put on a pig, it is still a pig.

FROM CINDY, AN EVANGELICAL VOTER IN FLORIDA
I suspect there will be more like her:
I first became aware of Mitt Romney over a year ago, when I heard him interviewed on one of the talk radio shows I listen to all day. I noted that he was articulate, concise, bright, and what he said was conservative. I spent a long time trying to figure out how someone like this managed to get elected as governor by the same state which elects Ted Kennedy over and over to the Senate. I am still trying to figure that out—it defies logic, and I am one who is used to thinking outside the box.
As the primary election got closer, I started to pay close attention, being a political animal. One by one, I eliminated candidates on the Republican roster for one reason or many. I spent the last month literally agonizing, on the fence between Romney & Thompson. But, each time I heard Mitt Romney speak, I was more impressed. He exudes character. He responds to his detractors, who have been fairly snide in their various attacks, innuendos & accusations, with respect and humility. I note that his sons, who seem to really love and respect their dad, are active in the campaign. As a mom, that is significant to me—I see several other Republican candidates who have adult children who are largely missing from the picture. One of Romney’s strengths is that when he talks about family values, you can see right before your eyes what kind of family values he means. His family exemplifies it perfectly.
I am a conservative, evangelical Christian. I want the most conservative candidate, and faith is equally important as conservative philosophy in a candidate to me. I will honestly admit that I was concerned about the Mormon issue— there are many pre-conceived notions of the doctrines of that church in evangelical circles. I watched the Faith speech several times, and I was very glad that Romney gave it. My sense was that he is as sincere in his faith as I am in mine. I started to consider that this country was founded by people who were fleeing religious persecution; it is a profound irony and tragic to me if this wonderfully accomplished man is disregarded by some Christians because they disapprove of the church he attends.
As for me and my house, we will vote for Mitt Romney. I believe he will be good for America.
